Thank you for breaking the xp gain from mobs. Thank you for letting me do 10 quests and not gain enough xp to visibly move my veteran bar. I would also like to thank you for making it so bad that I could grind mobs for an hour with an xp scroll, eso plus, and rings of mara and still not get any xp. Great freaking job.

✭What rank are you and what and where are you grinding? I don't have any problems gaining XP. They are also increasing the XP gains for Craglorn, veteran quests, and public dungeons with the Imperial City update.0 -

✭Are you by chance playing on console? You do know that the veteran ranks currently require 1 million xp per rank, right? Veteran ranks go much more slowly than 1-50.0 -

Nah it's the same at vet ranks.
Only with my first char about a year ago i ranked the same as the zone i was in. As i learned the game on my alts - i was 3-4 veteran ranks above the zone level. I usually hit VR1 long before entering coldharbour, left coldharbour at VR2+, started Cadwells gold at VR10.
What people do is they either grind mobs and ignore questing or only do quest objectives and ignore the mobs around them (unless needed for quest), I do both, i don't use a horse - i walk everywhere so i can kill everything in my sight, fully clear an area i come across that has mobs in it - then proceed to do the quest, then rinse and repeat when going back.
I don't stay and wait for mobs to respawn - hence it's not grinding, but i just make sure i kill everything inbetween quest objectives. By the time i finish the quest - i've gained twice that in the mobs i've killed on the way.
Majority of people i see are on horseback - riding to objectives and ignoring/avoiding mobs on the way - then they complain why they don't gain enough XP or are behind others. Horse is your enemy when it comes to leveling. Forget you have it, take your time - walk - enjoy the scenery while killing stuff. That way you will always be a step ahead XP wise. Sure you won't be on the same boat as grinders will, but you will still be a great deal ahead than the people who JUST do quests and nothing else.
(This obviously doesn't apply in dialogue based quests in towns where no mobs are to be killed)Edited by Egonieser on August 15, 2015 10:36PMSometimes, I dream about...cheese...

Just about every mom got nerfed. What happens now is you only get xp for one npc out of the mob. Craglorn also got nerfed a lot.0
