Should the No Name and Shame Policy rule be revoked or should it be left as is?

(In my opinion) The No Name and Shame Policy protects players that cheat and exploit. I get that ZOS wants to avoid cyber bullying but by not posting their names its make the problems worse. This rule has the best intentions for all players but the best intentions can have the worst of results.

The issue is that people are too easily calling hax and exploits thus naming and shaming innocent players. Therefore it is better to report if you think faulty game is being done and let developers investigate if there indeed has been faulty play.

You would not like you being called exploiter or haxor in public and having the whole community think that you actually are.

    Pretty much this.

I didn't vote because while I think it's a good idea people are aware of known scammers, I don't think you should be allowed to name and shame for the above reasons.

I think ZOS needs to be far, far more proactive about investigating and punishing exploiters. Their lack of action leads to this desire for forum justice. But the fact is, I can't tell you how many times I've seen people or groups accused of hacking or cheating or exploiting just because they killed a player or group of players, and those people got salty or didn't want to admit they got outplayed.

I know what you mean players do use exploiter and hack loosely but when you see players jump into keeps and kill the defender while their friends and faction members take down the walls with no counter siege thanks to the cheaters what do you do? Reporting will only get you so far and you've already lost the keep to the enemy because of foul play what can you do? I'm not going to roll over and let them keep ruining the game I'm going to call them out on cheating and let players know that this player is not a good player.

The lack of attention about cheater/exploiters is why I posted this poll if ZOS isnt taking action about this then (IMO) we the players need to. I love it when my group or I get out played it just gives us a challenge to overcome we've fought your guild mates before and had a blast getting wiped and wiping you. Each side learns new tactics and way to fight/survive and that's what I like both side having fun.

Truthfully I like to have someone counter my opinion because it help to show the other person's reasons and both sides learn why the other thinks the way they do. Please tell me your ideas on how to inform players about scammers

Players can't take be the ones to take action, because we have no way of verifying whether or not a player, or group, is in fact exploiting. We don't have the tools ZOS has to investigate players. Not only that but, players could use the forums to attack people they don't like.

Either way, if the naming and shaming policy were dropped, the forums would be full of false accusations.

And yet, what you consider an exploit may not actually be one.
For instance, dragon leaping into a keep to kill defenders is a legitimate tactic, as far as I know.
Everyone cries exploit when a scroll is taken from behind closed gates, but there are legitimate ways to do that as well.
This is why you report them, and it is ZOS's job to sort out what went on, and if it was cheating or not.
(and if your defenders were all killed off by a few players who jumped into the keep while their group sieged, you were going to lose that keep anyway.)

If players cant do anything and ZOS isn't taking action then its the players that suffer. I fully understand what you are saying and I know this problem is a wick problem meaning there is no easy answer to fix the issue. The only thing I can think of is for players to snap screenshots and record the player(s) cheating. Please if you have any ideas on how to fix this or to improve the No Name and Shame policy then please say them. The more ideas that players can share the greater the possibility that we can find a solution that works and that ZOS will like.
