Guild SCAMMERS REWARDED in ESO [MONOPOLIZING GUILDS FOR PROFIT]

People in online games are a subset of the world at large. Mostly decent people, some that are truly altruistic, and some that are shady as hell. Like in the real world, the shady ones often end up in positions of power (limited though it may be in game), and profit from the masses. That sucks beyond words that an entire guild was scammed like that, and the guy who did it should be ashamed. Probably isn't though.

But this isn't the fault of the guild trader system, this is solely the fault of a rotten person. Shame that forum policy prevents people like this from being named.

i dont do raffles or charity for the guild bank, i asked once for an item in the bank, they charged me 2x what i could get out of another guild store and there was 5 of the same thing. they got mad from me calling them out, then i resigned.

You need to remember, the guild is also profiting between 3,500 - 7,000 gold off your sales as well. The "house cut" is 7% of all your sales!

The cut is 7% but only 3,5% goes to the guild bank. The other 3,5% just disappear.

After playing Eve Online for many years I find gameplay like this smart, not scamming. As in Eve anything goes. You can offer to sell someone something and simply not comply after you get the money, no harm no foul. Or sell them a ship, as soon as they undock - blow it up. Not only does it make for great and cunning gameplay, it also teaches people great life lessons. Lessons that may be better off learned with virtual fake money or items as opposed to real life money and items.

You are assuming that some of us prefer real life to the virtual.

Sounds exactly like what the mega corporations do.
    Well, minus the disbanding.

Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

The heroes during times of war, are nothing but mass murderers during times of peace.

It's not right or fair, but gambling is inherently risky. I never participate in raffles because the odds aren't in my favor. Having said that, I see no problem implementing a weekly membership for trade guilds. I would rather pay 2,000 gold and know I have secured a good trader, then not have a fee and risk not having one. I typically make between 50,000 - 100,000 gold a week through trading, so 2k is a small price to pay. If the leader decided to split with our weekly donations at least I am still making money on the deal.

That being said, that said, having said that.. All of those phrases died 6 months after E3 from 6 years ago. I always find it amusing that people need to mention they just said something. I'm just trying to help you out
