This thread is a perfect example of why Nightblade balance is the way it is right now, every time a topic comes up that threatens their gimmicky BS playstyle, hordes of them show up to defend it, and ZOS listens to them.

Because sypher plays a nightblade and they all copy him so if there is ever a nerf or something changed that will make it so you have to actually require some talent (and no, spamming fear and surprise attack are not a talent) they arrive in armies to defend it, because they want to continue playing mindlessly while having the class carry them.

I agree with the premise of the OP but what if I told you, I just don't want the damage bonus there for every class sneaking around, yet am OK with Nightblades being the class that makes more use out of it by being able to move in and out of stealth more quickly and having abilities that attack from stealth providing bonus damage, but just for those specific abilities so it is controlled, rather than any ability in game that is already balanced around being used out of stealth suddenly getting that extra advantage?

Sneaking for everyone is fine. Having it be how it is now to where all just stack weapon damage to kingdom come with abilities that hit hard enough without stealth getting extra damage with makes for boring play.

What does require talent in ESO, according to you?

As a Nightblade, I would say yes to the overall idea, and as a compromise you can lower the bonus damage by 50% instead of getting rid of it all together. Still, the new patch will help regardless as it'll be much harder to just one shot from stealth anyway.

That's because Nightblades are cowards who hide in the shadows and just gank people.
They need the bonus damage as this is the only way they can kill people.

Well to be factual, NB use the shadows because they need to use the shadows/cloak/stealth; It's the only "bonus" they have.

Have you ever tried a nightblade on the PTS? Damage from sneak is pretty pathetic even being THE assassin/rogue class. xD

On live I can understand its annoying with the one-twoshotting, but this is hardly the case on PTS.
