It's pretty great. I was expecting more of an art book, but it's a fairly long story chronicling the trials and tribulations of an imperial scholar tasked with writing a guide to Tamriel. It's definitely well written, but if you're more into the art, there's a lot great pieces to flip through as well.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭If you liked the Tales from Tamriel book, you'll like the Emperors Guide. If you haven't read the Tales from Tamriel book and you like the Emperor's Guide then I recommend getting the Tales from Tamriel book as well.What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

✭✭✭✭✭It's freaking awesome. It looks gorgeous (the art, the layout, the binding - all of it), it's full of interesting lore, and it's actually an interesting story. I've also got Tales of Tamriel vol 1 and The Skyrim Library vol 1, and both of those are good, but IMO neither of them come close to being as good as The Emperor's Guide to Tamriel. If you like Tales from Tamriel, you'll love The Emperor's Guide to Tamriel. Seriously, I can't say enough good things about it. As soon as I got my hands on it I knew I would never regret paying way more for the pre-order limited edition of the game.
