Bounty going up on a quest!

Was on my lvl 5 NB and started the quest Tears of the two moons and then started to kill skeletons in the temple yard for a few levels. Then I noticed it my Bounty went up almost 20k while grinding a few levels with the quest NPC Gathwen running around healing you.

I checked and nothing else added to my bounty but time and or xp while she was with me. No mobs, looting mobs or attacking Gathwen in any way (AOE) etc. added to my bounty.

I stopped in the middle of the quest to write a bug report and when I was done I had 23k added to my bounty. So after finishing just that one quest while grinding some mobs in the middle I know have a 43k bounty on a lvl 10 character!

After the quest I stayed logged in to see if it was still going up and it did not, it went down a few gold so I know it was the quest/quest NPC (Gathwen).

Please fix this.

you probably killed some npc in the middle of the mobs as well, there are places where you just cant go around killing everything, Where they actually placed both enemies and npc in the same spot

Nope I spent a good deal of time checked every snake, skeleton etc. and there are NO other NPC's there. Plus I tried to attack other players and Gathwen with no additional bounty.

It is simply a quest bug.

Did you level up? Bounty is dependent on you level, so if you level up, your bounty goes up too. (But so does the amount of bounty that is discarded every 3 minutes, so the overall effect is pretty much non-existent.)"

So by me gaining 5 levels my bounty went up that much?

I'm pretty sure this bug is related to what I experienced in the Thizzrini Arena some months ago, and the same happened again just last night (see screenshot).
After I saw your posting, I come to the conclusion that this only seem to happen when another NPC is around. In my case it's that guy you can see on the right on the screenshot, he stayed in the arena while I was fighting, and it was the same spot/same arena where it happened last time. In the other parts of the arena, the NPC who announces the champions was gone during the battle.
However I did not get a bounty, though, but it did count as murder.
Actually, this should not happen....

This also happened to me, during a quest right outside town, so I assumed a npc got lured outside and into my aoe range(odd since I have 'do not attack innocents' checked and i am pretty sure I didn't see any 'yellow' targetable enemies in range)

I forgot quest but was the one right as u enter the pass and have to go 'cleanse' 2 areas (lv 30ish area dominion)

I figure a easily killed npc was 'fighting' in the area and was red marked (as enemy) or one of the mobs were falsely marked as a guard (I went from nothing to the big 'guards will kill you on sight' message in 1 kill)

Never went as high as that though(think mine was at 300-500 coin and went away as normal)
