Weapon Crit %

First off, I'd like to say I'm playing on the Xbox One and I'm not sure how much of a difference there is between PC and console, so just a heads up .
So I play a Bosmer NB with medium armor and a bow. My character is pure stamina and I'm all about stealth and crits. I've pumped a ton of skill points into my character to make him have reduced cost for abilities, high stamina regen, etc and I've always been proud of my insanely high crit %. The last time I checked I was around 54% crit, but recently I see that it has changed to 37.5%. While this is still a decent number, I'm frustrated because it's supposed to be a lot higher than that. Nothing has changed ability or armor wise, so I don't understand why I'm missing 20-ish % on my crit chance. Did something get changed/nerfed in the newest update? I do notice that when I use Shadowy Disguise that I get an extra 100% tacked onto my current crit %, but other than that it stays the same. Thanks for any replies, I really appreciate any input on this.

Were you under the effects of food when you were at the higher percent? If so, try eating the food and then see what your percent is at. I ran into the same issue today with bosmer bow character. With food my critical percent is 62 percent, once the food wears off it drops to 51 percent.

That could be it, I never thought of that.

I usually eat some sort of food that gives health and stamina bonus, but I haven't made any in awhile. It usually gives me about 2k stamina extra, but I'm not sure if that would cost me 20% crit bonus.

Keep buffs only give you, like, 8% OP is missing 20%.

Try posting a screen shot of your character buffs and maybe a list of your gear. Also any abilitys you currently have slotted. Aslo, what level are you? How many CP do you have?

Vet rank 1, 4 CP. I had over 50% crit at a much lower level than that.

    Abilities:
Camo Hunter, Shadowy Disguise, Killers Blade, Venom Arrow, Acid Spray. Ultimate: Soul Tether

My gear isn't anything to write home about but I'll post it anyway. I've been vet rank 1 for a little over a week but haven't had much time to play due to my work schedule, so most of my gear isn't my level which I'm sure doesn't help - plus it's pretty mismatched (as in, they all give random buffs and such). I've wanted to make my own set of armor, but I'm having a really tough time leveling up my crafting skills. Provisioning is 50, but everything else is very low and nothing seems to really give a lot of EXP, but that's a whole separate issue. My stats and gear screen shots are posted below (I got them microsoft paint skills)

Slotting assassin skills gives you 1.5% crit per skill slotted. Try slotting the execute, ultimate and one other to add 4.5%. Set bonuses have been giving you extra crit as well. They seem to provide 3% crit with each set bonus. Ashen Grip and Hundings Rage would be where to look. Also, your older bow may have had the Precise trait. That can range from 3% (white) to 7% (legendary). Also, there's another passive that adds I think 3% crit after you use an ability, I think it's shadow, but may be assassin. It says it gives the buff to allies for 10/20 seconds, but that also includes you. You could have just been looking after you killed something while the buff was running.

Slotted Skills - 1.5% per missing ability (you only have 1 assassin skill slotted)
Keep Bonuses - 8% (if you have all the bonuses, you would have this percentage boost)
Just Used Ability - 3% (procs for 10/20 seconds after assassin? ability used)
Precise Trait Weapon - 4% (assuming green)

Assuming you didn't have or didn't lose any set bonuses, the above would add up to 16.5% to 19.5% depending on how many assassin abilities you had slotted when you looked.

It's also hard to keep crit up with bow. But yes, try useing blur and peircing mark on your bow bar.
Also, you DO NOT need weapon speed on a bow. Trying getting Precise on that!

Speed on anyweapon lowers the globe cool down so weapon speed can be good

Your right. However he is wanting to get his crit up is why i suggested that. Plus bow attacks are already pretty quick. Imo weapon speed is only useful on 2H melee weapons or maybe a Resto staff to get that magicka back faster from a heavy attack.

"plus bow attacks are already pretty quick" global cool down is not attack speed it makes most abiltys fire faster making for more damage so no its good on most weapons not just 2H

Right. The GCD between attacks is about 1.3 seconds. If you hit the weapon speed cap of 30% it lowers it to about 1.05 seconds. But to increase your overall dps it is noth worth it imo.

And what was the point of that video? He isnt even using weighted to show how it effects the gcd.
