Toggles, toggles for everyone!

Ok. So we keep seeing people asking for toggles. Toggles for pauldrons. Toggles for grieves. Toggles for every piece of armor. While I do not personally care for these options, I hate the mentality of "my fun is more important than your fun". My stance of "if you don't want to see that armor, don't wear it", is pretty exclusionary. This is especially true when we can actually both "have our way".

I propose that ZOS include hide toggles for every piece of armor ALONG WITH a toggle of "Show Equipped". This show equipped toggle can have a couple of sub-toggles...
-Friends
-Group
-Everyone

The "show equipped" toggle will show the player who has that toggled 'on' exactly what other players have equipped. It will disregard other player's hide toggles and will not show whatever costume they have on.

This will allow those of us who do not want to see naked nords, orc men in wedding dresses, scarecrows, skeltons, draugers, and Jack-o-lanterns running about to see those players with the armor they have equipped.

These rendering selections happen on the client side, so I really doubt see this being a resource issue and both groups of players get to see ESO how they want to see it!

Thoughts?

In addition to that, add toggles to turn on/off having to see and hear other player's vanity pets.

The only players who would disagree with this are the ones who feel that you are obligated to see their costume/polymorph and see/hear their vanity pets because they paid cash for them in the crown store. If you derive no personal enjoyment from costumes and vanity pets, and purchase them solely so other players can see you with said costume/pet, you are truly a sad individual.

To be fair there are far more important things for them to work on first before even considering minor things like toggles. Though i agree making pets a toggle may help with lag issues.

I agree this could be a good compromise, but I think it's unlikely they would add the option to hide costumes, pets (and switch all mounts to a default model which I've also seen suggested) because they sell those things in the crown store and for some people a big part of the appeal is that everyone else sees they have it, so knowing people can turn them off may discourage some people from buying it.

I have to say I don't understand either side of that - I'm happy for other players characters to look however they want to look and I don't care what anyone else thinks of my character's looks - but I've seen both sides argued often enough to be pretty confident it will be an issue.

Also I think it's worth bearing in mind that there are some people who simply want their character to look silly and they will always find a way to do it. If they can't put an orc in a dress on a flaming horse they'll put them in bright pink armour, or jump constantly instead of running or whatever options are available. You're never going to get perfect immersion in a game with other players, unless you're able to work their actions into the world you're immersing yourself in.

I'll be happy for just a toggle helm and maybe for the shoulders if some armor is stupid for now.
I haven't looked for any toggle options yet, sorry if it is there and I haven't seen it yet.

For the toggle of others vanity pets...
    I say allow it.
If I get tired of seeing a bunch of pets running around and making noises, I shouldn't be forced to see and hear them.

Helmet toggle exists. Also, toggle for vanity pets would free ZOS up to create additional slots for vanity pets. Players who want them could have a little zoo running behind them.

So me wanting to show my Nord berserker's tattoos by toggling his shoulders and chest piece is going to ruin someone else's game ? Yeah I heard that argument too .. to be told "well just don't wear shoulders and chest" ... nope, that response is just trolling.

I can see the point of a no-naked viewing toggle, not everyone wants naked dancing in public places.

I've stopped activating vanity pets ... I get annoyed by my own pet's noises.
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.
