Dragonknights have a pretty good fire damage buff under adherent flame. The passives like kindling really help. Try a flame dustruction staff and focus on magic attributes more.

I'm biased because I have a Dark Elf DK Fire Mage that's all about the fire. The class and race just synergize so well together. You don't have to scrap your NB; you could always keep your NB and spec into a stamina bow build, and then make another Dark Elf as a DK for the fire damage.

@DrizztWulfgar Well, there's a lot of different ways you could go. I wouldn't worry too much about committing to a solid build until you're a much higher level, but I'll link you to a few builds so you can get an idea of what you might want to shoot for later on. Keep in mind that most "builds" are geared towards endgame content, thus a great deal of info in them doesn't apply to you just yet; simply ignore all the stuff about Champion Points and armor sets and focus on the skills/attributes/general tips sections.

dark elfs are best fire mages ingame! and thats it! if you want to be anything else dont be a dark elf, there are much more better options. if you aint a fire mage DK you wont use your best racial -flame talent and that for me at least is a big pain in the arse.
