pvp magicka build dragon knight staff or 1 hand sheild
Is it necessary to go staff if your doing a magicka build? I plan on doing it with my dk now due to some friends telling me it will be better for damage output. Can I get some opinions. I don't plan on going stamina for a while.

Well it's also nice to have a ranged option, s+b and dest staff is useful.
I use a magicka dk myself, but i'm a dps so i'm 5 light 1 med 1 heavy and use the staff as my main dps.
If you want to be a tank type dk then use 5 heavy, 2 light, some use s+b on both bars others like the range the staff gives.PS4 EU DC

BatenKajtosSoul ShrivenI usually go for 5 light 1 medium 1 heavy as a magicka DK (for light armor passives and undaunted passive. Heavy chest, medium helmet), sword and board + fire destro in pvp.
The fire destro staff has an awesome charged attack that can one shot. Destructive reach and force pulse/crushing shock are also good long-ranged skills, what DKs are missing. A nice combo : heavy attack > destructive reach > medium attack > any long ranged skill.
