Xbox users - Kinect

It would be really appreciated if you turned kinect off, especially if you're already using a mic. No one is interested in hearing domestics, your wife or kids nagging you to spend some time with them, babies crying, feedback echos and a whole host of other nonsense. If like me, you're relatively new to the game and didn't realise the game automatically opts to use kinect as a mic, then it does.

Add to that, I'm sure you yourself don't want all your business being aired over open chat. Some of the stuff you hear I can only assume is meant to remain personal.

Take the time to gently let ppl know they can turn off the chat mic but keep all other line to functions working.

The forums helps too but generally speaking some ppl just don't care.
Be nice and then if nothing changes mute them is my suggestion

Yeah, I've told around 3 people that they have their kinect on. Not going to be a idiot to them because I initially never realised it either until some guy asked me if I had a $2 mic from Walmart as it sounded as if I was talking through a tin and it was echoing. Turns out it was the kinect, that I had set to off, but I'm assuming ESO turns it on standard and I never realised this.

I've mentioned this to 3 people and 2 of them never realised it was and on the other, well, lets just say he came across as your stereotypical xbox user.

Had the same issues with PS4 cameras while playing Battlefield 4.

The only real issue I have is some kid blasting rap music in town, which is actually against the Live service rules to broadcast music by voice chat. Either they think we are all 15 or something, or just don't care.

Other than that there is an issue with Kinect working intermittently. It works fine with everything else on Xbox. But in game its about 65/35 odds even using all the troubleshooting points. Headset works fine but I don't want to use it.

Talking of "against terms and conditions". Yesterday there were 2 guys giving dogs abuse to this female for what seem an age. Another female appeared next to her and after what seemed like 3-5mins, the two guys disappeared. Turns out the 2nd female was part of the MS Xbox LIVE enforcement team. She went onto say that she plays the game regularly and if she encounters any such behaviour, xbox accounts will be temporarily banned. If she catches the same person doing it again, their xbox account will be permanently banned. Nice to know these people do turn up from time to time. Was also hilarious. About time some of these people paid for their actions. I don't like to see anyone banned, but at the same time, some people really need to learn that some behaviour isn't acceptable.

I'm assuming they can't ban them from specific games, but if your account is banned, then there's not much you can play anyway short of creating a new one and hoping you have a physical copy of the game.

This person needs to hang out for a while in Reapers March Rawl'kha or Auridon Vulkhel Guard on Xbox NA. It would be nice to clean out the hate speech and rap music spammers.

My kinect has a mind of its own. It will turn off and on by itself. Also when i shut down the console sometimes the kinect just stays on.

So it just stays unplugged that pos.

My favorite is when I do a battery swap on my controller, my mic refuses to work anymore and all voice chat routes through Kinect automatically.
