If you want the best overall dps increase Sharpened Mace with Precise Sword is the best combo. As far as i know the armor penetration is still buggy and gives you way more than it should.
I even did my own caveman testing of this on some bears. Equiped two precise swords and counted how many Surprise attacks it took to take down a bear. After 20 kills the number ranged from 7-9 hits. Then i swapped my mainhand with a sharpened mace and after 20 more bears dying in the name of science i found the number of Surprise Attacks was very consistent at 6 hits. A few rare times it was only 5.
So yeah, not exactly the most conclusive test but on console thats the best i could do. Lol
