Is there any V16 gear planned for Elite PvP Vendors?
I've been hoarding my AP and I'd like to have something better to spend it on than trebuchets

    No. Gear on the elite vendors remains at VR14 maximum. VR15 and VR16 PvP gear can only be obtained via Rewards For The Worthy bags.

    Their explanation for this is that they didn't want players hoarding AP right now and starting off with maxed out VR15/VR16 gear as soon as the Imperial City update went live.

    Also, it is an incentive for players to still play PvP outside of Imperial City.

    They do not want people to buy best-in-slot VR16 gear two seconds after Imperial City is released. The new Tel Var currency was created specifically to address this. Having nothing better to buy with AP than trebuchets is by design.

    AP still has all of the same uses it had before, you just won't be able to purchase VR15/VR16 gear with it.

    ZOS doesn't quite like it when people enjoy something they earned in time by playing the game.It just isn't as fun and exciting as a good ol RNG grind. Sometime you may even get to enjoy that crap for a few weeks before it gets nerfed.
