Fire staffs got nerfed to lose the knock back and stuns for most of there skills. How ever Frost staffs got buffed to were the heavy attacks give a damage shield how ever it is based of maxed health and not magicka and the wall of frost skill will immovabilize any one who enters it for 4 seconds I believe. While shock staff got changed were it's splash damage is 50% of max damage for light and heavy attacks along with skills but now effects up to 6 near by targets instead of 2 and shock touch now has stun attacks.

So fire is dead and I see alot more frost staffs in the future for that damage shield and immoveable effects well for PvP I see shock for PvE for all those mobs in dungeons.
