This is why you intentionally clear out those meddling bugs before attacking important enemies. Use a ranged attack to do so like Strife/(Morphs).

I feel like ZOS should make it so you can't ultimate something that can be one hit by a level 3 restoration staff. Or just add the option to disable attacking them in general.

Forest, please don't presume to think I was in a group or that I am build badly, I'm hardly a glass cannon, and I'm rational enough to not just jump into the fight. Don't be ignorant. This was a group boss I could easily handle had my ultimate not been used up on a bloody insect. Now please go.

Dude those critters are straight up *** blockers. I don't know how many times soloing a quest boss I fly across the room and hit a spider with Ambush. There's no target lock as far as I can tell (ps4)

This is why I went DW over 2-hander when I started in June ( I can always switch over later). I kind of wish I went 2-hander instead for higher dps but Blood Craze + Siphons keep me up unless the mob is immune to siphon. Those dwemer constructs and elite undead spell casters wreck me if I can't go all out dps and burn them down fast.

They hit like mack trucks (at vet levels) and I can't heal my NB with siphons. That's when the undead mage starts to cast and I ambush to interrupt (or venom arrow) and target the damn spider critter next to him. That's going to cost me a new controller and tv someday, I nerd rage so hard when that happens heh.

Because funnel health, sap essence and potions arent heals?

Just because you choose to not use the siphon tree doesn't mean you don't have access to them.

Think most of us have ended up wasting precious ultimates on critters. It's mostly an issue for those depending on delicate single target over AoE mashing.

Locking target on the boss helps, unless the critter is standing on top of it. Than you end up killing a rat regardless

I'm way to lazy to do that myself, targeting in solo PvE that is. I rather drop a Veil or Soul Tether on the group, than mash Steel Tornado on boss + adds, watch them die in a few seconds. Sadly, I might add. You learn a lot by target switching or "cycle enemy target" frequently in PvE, especially useful later on as NB in PvP.

its all good, ive done that too. had the color aura on the mob i wanted to ambush or whatever and suddenly i kill a spider... its like WTF!, i had the mob highlighted yet it still decided to kill this spider that wasnt highlighted and was off to the side of the mob i was aimed at

also as for heals and what not, i went 2hander for rally and the first skill that gives you a shield. it may be alot slower to kill things but you will survive pretty well soloing group content

oh and as stated above even tho its not a stamina skill siphon skill that steals hp for you is pretty good too if youre really having a hard time on a boss.

They really need a gameplay option in the settings that allows us to lock out things like ultimates on centipedes. I understand this frustration although its common to anyone. Nightblades can be very powerful, in many different roles but you need greater familiarity with the class. Its true they do not get a shield in the normal sense, although they do have Blur which turns out to be pretty amazing, and siphoning abilities which are likewise amazing. If you want to be a highly resilient nightblade its actually very possible. I do agree that its a shame there are no proper damage shields outside of class abilities though, and it would be nice if there were greater parity between the shields available (Hardened Ward, Blazing Shield, Obsidian). I'm personally hopeful that spellcrafting will resolve some of that issue.

What level is your nightblade? Look at abilities like Sap Essence, Blur, Siphoning, etc. Consider what armor you are wearing. Don't expect to be resilient if you're wearing jedi robes.

P.S.: Cloak also boosts Spell resistance and Armor, on the same level as Rune Focus or Spike Armor (I can never remember if that's the right name for the DK lava armor). I admit it doesn't last super long, but it can help.

Ofc it's different? nb's have their own Hot and such though, you could literally use 1 attack and light weave through the solo pvp content, it only gets difficult when you try vet dungeons.

Also i'm not a sorc. Also if you spam one skill in pvp your doing it wrong.
