On both of my main characters my magelight effect doesn't show. Although my spell crit chance goes up, I don't see that glowing ball of light that I thought comes with the spell. Is this going to get fixed soon?

Auricle✭✭✭✭✭There is an option to turn the effect for Magelight on and off in the main menu. I'd make sure you don't have that unchecked.0 -
Emissary_Vex✭✭Its not the setting, its a very very very common bug. It's very random wether or not magelight shows. Although just a minor cosmetic issue; it does make the game feel buggy and brings down the feeling of it being a high quality game. Especially because its such a frequent issue.2

✭When toggled the icon in your bar will have an outline around it. The effect will also be shown on your Character screen.

SahrotRein✭✭✭✭From my experience, I have that option in video settings always unchecked, set on OFF yet the annoying ball still appears from time to time yet it's smaller, but still there!! I thought that the ball might not be present if you take Inner Light morph since that'd make sense.

✭✭✭✭My problem with it is there is a morph that is supposed to let you see stealthed characters - doesn't seem to be working at all.Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis0 -

but when i cast it i get that bright whishing noise orb floating around me , very annoying .

Jennifur_Vultee✭✭✭✭✭I use magelight on two of my characters and frankly since the effect is so buggy half the time I forget its not on since I can't see it 50% or more of the time...so it just ends up wasting a space on my bars unused.
