How exactly are the seasonal caps on CP going to work?

Start game after "season 3" has started. Has same problem as now.

Caps, be they season or generation or blue moon or millenium gated, don't do anything for CP imbalance. They just postpone the issue. So, bleargh. Completely unexcited about a doomed to fail plan.

This is only true if the cap were being implemented by itself without the curve added to increase CP gain rates for players with less CP.

Together with the cap every season that passes, the gap between the players with the most CP and the least will shrink.
Mate, you don't need caps in any way and form if you implement a good catch-up mechanism. Caps are generating negativity. A speed up for.those below average and a slow down for those above achieves the exact same thing without making those ahead feel punished. I have described it elsewhere.

Caps are fail. Massively if implemented without catch-up mechanic, still hard if combined with a catch-up mechanism.

I guess I will just keep repeating myself: it solves nothing. The only thing caps on CPs will provide is a temorary barrier to the invetiable.

Again, the problem with the entire CP system has nothing whatever to do with the amount of point available or how fast or slow you can earn them.

It is completely ludicrous to allow for all builds to max out ALL combat passives from ALL stats whether you need them for your build or not.

There should be consequences to the point investments that you make yet there are ZERO trade offs incorporated into this system.

You wanna be a healer with maxed speall critical and maxed healing and maxed blocking and maxed stamina regen for roll dodging? Sure! no problem! Just keep earning CPs

You wanna be a melee fighter with maxed weapon power and maxed spell critical and maxed healing bonuses and....

Said it during guild summit, said it during beta testing of CPs, said after live, saying it now: this system DOES NOT SOLVE ANYTHING but creates even more balancing problems as time wears on.

Caps solve nothing. They are just buying time.

Not much help cause it only allows those who are low on CP to catch up to those who are in the medium such as those who are at 200+ and not to those who are the real problem those who have 700+. Cause if there is a gap those who have 700+ already have those skills and boost and will stay there with that power till the gap cap catches up to them and Kyne knows how long that be.

They won't be able to spend all of those 700+ CP, though, so they will lose those skills temporarily when champion points are refunded.

Who said they won't be able to spend them ? Cause I'm pretty sure they will already have them spent.

Don't worry, you'll have plenty to do trying to gear up in Imperial City, Orsinium, and subsequent DLC's. It's been a stupidly long time between content updates, so I can understand CP being all that's left to do now, but that won't be the case if we get new tiers of gear every 3 months.[/quote]

I have very little interest in nor will i pay for imperial city so that content has no effect on my decisions.
