The areas are dominated by the Dominion, I can't get anywhere.just go to cirodiil, u dont need to really figth if u choose the less transited ways and avoid the "swords" in your map, of course ull get killed time to time but with patience and care is posible get the skyshards without big problem. Try as possible to get into a campaing dominated by your faction or if not possible then a low populated campaign.

So, I'd like some ZOS person to help remedy this. If they can.

It is not necessary to collect ALL the skyshards in the game, yes you are missing out on a few that are in Cyrodiil, but you have more than enough to fill up the abilities and skills that you use without them.
I'd like to get ability points to actually master a couple of things other than much needed battle skills like clothier/woodworker etc. Yes, alts are meant to help but for once in my existence I'd like to complete something rather than sit on the sidelines and watch others complete shard runs or [insert other completionist achievements here]. Yes I understand that in game without PvP you get a fraction of the game done, but its rather disheartening if you have to miss out because of a required field.Elektrakosh wrote: »As a strict PvE player, I will be missing out on skyshards and delves that are in Cyrodiil, correct? true, i got the ones from home campaign in cyrodiil, roughly sitting on 200 skyshards. if you need more than that your probably trying to do to much with one character
I'm guessing you play PvP.KiraTsukasa wrote: »
If you don't want to do PvP, then you'll just have to miss out on some Skyshards. If they were going to "remedy" this, they wouldn't have put any of them in PvP zones.

Love that Gtag! Trouble = brick wall hence having to get away 100% of the time.Cyridil is just one region (pvp region) out of roughly 19/20 available regions. You'll either have to pvp a little to get those shards, or content yourself knowing you'll only miss one regions worth. If you feel you MUST have them at all costs, I'd recommend loading up a Cyridil skyshard map and run through and grab them quickly. Wish I could help more, but hopefully that is sufficient. If you are having trouble I'll help out in game, just hit me up in game anytime gamertag: "Cunning Nimbus".
I'd like to experience having extra ability points really. I don't have a main character due to making alts to fill in the gaps on crafting.15 Skill points for Cyrodiil and another what? 5 for the Imperial City. My main has around 270 skill points. You're not missing anything.

Have you gone through everything to Vr14? All the quests, all the skyshards, all the Dungeons?I'd like to experience having extra ability points really. I don't have a main character due to making alts to fill in the gaps on crafting.
I'd like to master all crafting skills on a main hence my asking about cyrodiil and such. I do not want to miss out and have to craft good stuff after end game.KiraTsukasa wrote: »
There are 325 skill points in the game from all sources last time I checked. With that many, you can max out the crafting skills you need and still have plenty for combat skills even if you miss a few Skyshards.
I have to say that I won't be looking forward to v levels. I have to avoid PvP because it is a gank fest for low levels like myself. Choosing PvE battle abilities in a PvP area does not cut it. All I'm asking is to be able to complete a shard collection. Looks like another failed achievement amongst others, doesn't it?Have you gone through everything to Vr14? All the quests, all the skyshards, all the Dungeons?
270, and I'll tell you right now, I'm missing 2 points from skyshards in Craglorn and Cyrodiil I don't have and I've only done 2 Group Dungeons (each grants a Skill point iirc). This character has all the crafting skills maxed, two weapon lines maxed all 3 class lines maxed, 1 armor line maxed, is a vampire and has various points spread out elsewhere and he still has an extra 4-5 points I haven't found useful space for.
If you haven't hit level cap and 100%'d the zones you really can't complain about a lack of skills points, but if you really think 270 is not enough, if you really want to go all TES single player and max out everything like some sort of Tamrielic superman, you're going to have to suck it up and expand your horizons with some PvP, since thats around 20 skill points from shards and another 50 from Alliance War rank.
You can't choose to ignore part of a game and complain about not getting the full experience from it.
They have plenty of love hence the dlc and cyrodiil. They'll have wonderful armour and such. I just want the shards.PvE players just want it all.
Something I have noticed PvP players get rewarded with pittance in this and in Guild Wars 2 WvW, while dungeon runners get all the loot.
Who whines the most?
PvE players when they miss out on something.
Let us PvP players have some love for once.

The only alliances I'm in is Ebonheart Pact and Daggerfall Covenant. The Dominion has everything so that won't work. I have no guilds nor been invited to one thus that not working.Akavir_Sentinel wrote: »OP, what you need to do is join a campaign that your Alliance is mostly winning and collect all of the skyshards. Also, you can go on Cyrodiil skyshard runs with your guild. We do those occasionally. All of them are fairly easy to obtain, the only ones that take a bit longer are the two behind the enemy gates.
Glad to have made someone smile. My goal my be trivial to most but in the end all I would like is to collect shards and possibly get an achievement.OP's post made me laugh.
You don't need to worry too much about pvp for more than half of the skyshards, as it's quite unlikely you will encounter a player while hunting shards most of the time. If you pick a low pop campaign and avoid the transit lines, then the chances are almost none at all.
Cyrodiil's map is pretty big, and people are generally there for pvp or to farm a handful of the delvs for good exp. Outside of that, the rest of the map is a complete ghost town. Besides, as a PvE player, is it really so bad that a player kills you while searching for these things? It's not all that different then a mob killing you, only that they are smarter and won't leash. (most of the time)
Anywhom, go on in and collect all the ones in your factions area. Those are easily the safest, and then go from there. Asking for a ZOS reply for such a ridiculously trivial matter is actually quite funny.

I have to avoid fire alot anyway. Stupid vampires being so flammable! I'll think I'll go soak myself in oil just for s&g.
So go get em! I promise it's not hard, in fact a bit of time in a pvp zone would do most pve players a whole lot of good.
It helps teach and practice situation awareness and the awareness of your surroundings. You'll stand in a lot less fire if you are watching for it like you were a player.
