Ranking up after Cadwell's Silver and Gold?

tTear

I predominantly play alone and I just finished Cadwell's silver and Gold but I'm still only Veteran Rank 10. I've done every quest, delve, etc that's possible for me to do alone. I still wanna continue playing and hit Rank 14 but kinda confused on how to do so. Any ideas?

Grind. Or Craglorn content, but you'll need groups for some of that as well.

Do all of the quests, delves, and trials in Craglorn. Do the Undaunted dailies. Grind mobs in your VR10 zone. PvP and do Cyrodiil dailies. Those are your choices.

I'm under the impression that you need a group of people to do anything in Craglorn(?)

I've found all quests extremely easy and I rarely die. I can do the public dungeons (Not Group Dumgeouns of course) by myself without a sweat. Will that be enough to get a decent amount done in Craglorn? Or will I need a group to tackle all those quests, delves, etc

I can solo almost every delve and world boss in Craglorn. However, most of the Craglorn quests require a group to complete, not because they are that difficult, but because of game mechanics, like some quests require you to be standing on 4 plates to activate a door, and of course you need 4 players to do that.

I hit V10 after finishing silver and gold, got to V11 with doing quests I had missed. The run V11-14 was pure grinding

As a glass cannon- Craglorn was not really an option solo (did some exploration but not much else) and I was unimpressed with Cyrodil options (suck at PvP and the travel time to PvE type dailies was awful).
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

Hmmmm interesting. I understand that Cyrodil has PvE quests, but where would I find them? Just treat it like any other zone and "fill" out the map? Or are you talking about the quests you get when you enter Cyrodil? (The Scouting, Bounty, etc)

    Yeah cyrodiil, i did 12 - 14 there.

Join your factions buff campaign and you wont have to worry about other players.

You can kind of see the towns on your map just head to one and go from there

Cyrodil may be the best bet.

There are five towns, each has 9-10 daily PvE quests... with all the en-passant kill expees, each town will net one about 100K XP these days (just enough for an enlightened c-point per day if you want to see it that way ;) ) Yeah, the further ones are often annoying to get to, and have increased chance of gankage due to enemy territory, but at least two will be close to your homebase, and on a campaign controlled by your alliance, mostly safe (mostly, there are always gankers hoping for easy kills, but not enough to be a persistent trouble. In a year regular cyrodil PvE visits I got ganked maybe eight, nine times...)

There are also soloable (despite the bosses looking tough) dwelves which seem to be pretty decent spots for those people who want to grind their way through the ranks.

And there is PvP, though that kinda sucks if you're in for the expees. But earning alliance rank gives skill points, and AP buy neat gear... (though with IC on the horizon, that's not as great a thing as it used to be)

And of course if you really like grinding, there is also the last gold zone to consider. If your character is DC or AD, that will be one with a neat dwemer ruin, so you could always go to that one, farm for scrap and dwemer motivs while you kill constructs for fun and profit...

There is also craglorn, much of it is soloable - barely... if you are good, tough and well equipped... but it's really more balanced for groups, so... solo only if you like a challenge. Don't say we didn't warn you when the wasps getcha! ;)

Most other options are groupy stuff... pledges of course, craglorn story quests, trials, that sort of thing.

My question is once you reach vr 14 what are you going to do if you only play solo? wait for the "DLC"?

yep .. or grind gear in Trials that is going to be redundant with the next DLC <- but that's not solo

Have you checked your achievements? If you take a close look at all the categories, you may find content you missed. Although Craglorn quests may be out of your reach if you fly solo, as soon as the next patch drops, it will be prime location for grinding due to the upcoming XP increases.

Or how about - gasp - actually trying to play with others? I've done that hundreds of time in this game, and I'm still straight, my computer hasn't blown up, and my *** is still the same length.

I learned that the hard way. Imagine my surprise when I entered Cracked Wood cave to be confronted by a sea of yellow. Actually, I wonder who was more surprised because it took a few moments for some of them to begin hunting me down lol.

Definitely join your factions buff campaign if they have one.

EP is making hard moved on Buff Campaigns right now for Emperor with the Thornblade campaign. That's fun. Either Dalek or LordSith is gonna get it.

But there is much, much, much more experience to be had by doing the delves in Cyrodiil than bothering to go to Craglorn. I was getting 3-4 CP while enlightened a night (had it build up for 10 days).
Far too many characters to list any more.
