Stam DK itemisation

Hi everyone, after doing some PTS I'm going to hang out my Heavy armor until ZoS decides to make it PvP worthy, which will likely be never.

That aside I'm curious about itemisation;

5/5 Ravager + other stuff +717 wep damage once active.
3/3 Dreugh King Slayer +513 wep damage - [neck + 2 heavy] with two jewellery three and a total of 5 body slots free.

I find Ravager + 5/5 Hunding's easy enough to simply through together; is heavy armor possible providing 5/5 Ravager, 3/3 Dreugh + 2 Undaunted or something?

Anywhoo as it stands I see it like this currently, off the top of my head for a maybe cheap and accessible itemisation build;

3 Dreugh king - two body, one neck [this only scales up to vr14!

(2 items) Adds Weapon Damage
(3 items) Adds Weapon Damage

5/5 Sheer Venom

(2 items) Adds Max Stamina
(3 items) Adds Weapon Damage
(4 items) Adds Weapon Damage
(5 items) Causing damage with an execute ability infects the enemy, dealing 474 Poison Damage every second for 6 seconds. The effect has a cool down of 6 seconds.

We then have two ring slots free and weapon slots;

(2 items) Adds Max Stamina
(3 items) Adds Weapon Damage

With this we have every equipment slot filled for the following;

Weapon Damage + x 5 [this should average out to +670 weapon damage, not all that amazing when you think about Ravager]
Max Stamina x 2
Executes do an extra 2844 damage over 6 seconds, cooldown of 6 seconds.

So we dedicate over ten equipment slots and we don't even get more weapon damage than Ravager if it was v16?

Why should we use anything except for 5/5 Ravager, 2/2 Undaunted and then 5/5 [4/5 with one weapon] something else as Stam DK?

Remember that these new jewellery sets are appropriately named; "mini-sets".

Not sure how you feel about post PST but I wear 7 out of 7 heavy armor (because I prefer the look in comparison) but I still wreck people in PvP.
I use 2H for DPS and one hand/shield for Survivability (Not Tanking). I say not tanking because I don't use any of my DK buffs to improve armor or etc I only use reflective scales morph (name I forgot). I mainly focus on AoE damage trapping with my one hand/shield.

Hi Maxwell!

How do you feel about Unstoppable Brute with regards to a 7/7 heavy DK? Do you use it, have you used it? Would appreciate your whys also.

Earlier I played around on Live in Cyrodiil to quest where I had 20,000 + armor penetration, I wore 5/5 Ravager and 5/5 Dreugh King for questing, getting around 4k weapon damage.

However you rely upon Constitution for 'sustain' as well as the 7% + extra healing.

Heavy armor gives more armor penetration, which makes sense I guess as you're swinging around more weight.

I love the look of Heavy armor, however I find it only ever practical when one utilises Seducer, Arena in combination with Ravager for the much needed damage boost.

All this said, I'm simply looking to get some insight on medium armor itemisation, possibly in combination with Ravager.

As it stands on Live, 20k armor pen is normal, so I may as well not bother with PvP heavy until the PTS fix makes it to live on August 31st. Maybe then it will be better when you're not reduced to 0 armor against stamina builds using maces.
