the phone with SONY, and they told me that the developers of ESO designed the ESO PS4 to not have a mute feature, we can only block users on the PS4, which actually un-mutes some users within 24 hours. It's weird, because isn't there a mute feature on xbox one? Also, the only way to report a user on the PS4 is to click on HELP, then Customer Service, then under Issue Category click Report Player. Is it this hard for Xbox Users to mute and report?

Eriquito3✭✭✭✭There is no mute feature on xbox 1 either. You have to go to their gamer card to mute them, the funny thing though, everythi me I "muted" and "blocked" someone I could still hear them talking.Hi1 -

Voice chat in itself isn't bad, it's the fact that it's the only way for communication. The game feels empty and lonely most of the time, even though you see a bunch of people running around doing missions ect.
It also sucks trying to sell or buy anything too, ugh.... just thinking about makes me wish I didn't buy this game tbh.Hi1 -

You can turn off area chat any time you want to. The OP just wants to keep area chat on and just mute specific players. I'm sure she has a reason for that, but most players would probably opt to just turn it off. You're not forced to listen to it.0 -

This is the main reason area chat fails. Its a pain to mute someone when it works. Most people just leave chat and don't rejoin. All that's left in area chat half the time are kids, trolls and people playing with no volume on.0 -

Just when ESO on the console launched the developers in a chat tried to imply things like character names and other issues with limitations because of rules that MS and Sony made.
I was just making sure the Zenimax Defense Force (I have ZDF T-shirts you all can order if you'd like , 19.95 each) was headed off trying to imply Zenimax couldn't do that because of Sony.
Let's state this clearly for all,
Zenimax 100% could have (and should have ) put in their own ignore feature for the PS4 but chose to not bother with it.0 -
