I have given up on area chat and now the only thing that irritates me is having to hear the blaring noise for the 5 second countdown i have to wait in order to leave the chat. How about a setting to not join any chat when logging in? Ah me and my foolish notions......0 -

I do envy the P.C players not having to put up with that and to the O.P a turn your speakers down notice would have been nice lol

I feel bad for the decent console gamers It's not even funny from a PC pov anymore (to me). Everyone deserves to enjoy Tamriel in a friendly, enjoyable manner. If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!3 -

@ZOS_GinaBruno Seriously, is this something you guys actually want from the community aspect? I mean, I know on the whole, console gamers (general statement here) are younger and potentially more annoying but I really don't see the problem throwing in a console chat for it.
Sure it's going to be awkward and hard to use, and I'm sure you worried about implementing something that the community will go "Oh, that's the best you can do" but maybe actually have a conversation with people, at a scheduled time, in Twitch even, talking about it and getting peoples thoughts and feedback.
Give reasons why "such and such" cant be implemented....or highlight potential solutions and see what the feedback is?

Agreed. I honestly don't know how ZOS ever thought that area voice chat was a good idea, given how impossible it is to moderate. Even if there was an option to always globally mute area chat (which my understanding is that there isn't), without text chat available, there'd be no way to communicate with the decent crowd.

I'm saying I am decent to people and people who are not decent are not worth my time. It's a pretty simple concept. It sucks that people find enjoyment by running other people fun but I don't let it effect people. None of it is my decision and I make the best out of what was given. I wouldn't mind if they added chat. I think chat would be awesome but I still have fun despite horrible people that treat people bad. You can try to bate me into an argument about it all you want but you don't have the ability to ruin my time so I hope you cheer up and have a great day.
