Elden Hollow Monster Set

Hey Folks.

Soooo, I've got this set and have been running it for a few days now as a healer to see what it's like (the 900+health is always a benefit)

Elden Hollow
(1 items) Adds 135 Max Health
(2 items) 2% chance when healing an ally to create a totem for 10 seconds. Totem heals allies in area for 96 every 1 second. This effect has a cooldown of 15 seconds.

(( OLD SET STATS I BELIEVE ))

Now, having run about 6 or 7 dungeons with this set, not once did the Totem appear and I did not see any bonus happen what so ever. Apart from the fact 2% is very low, I would have thought over a period of 2-3 hours solid play, it would have proc'd at least once?

IS this working as intended....does anyone know? @ZOS_GinaBruno

Not sure what system you are on, but I can confirm this set is working on PS4. The totem is hard to see in most cases because it is black, but it is working, at least on PS4.

It's based off your healing so if you stack purifying/lingering ritual, healing springs, combat prayer and breath of life then it'll almost always proc.

Yeah, been doing all that you would expect from a v14 healer

(PC EU BTW)

Although, I did use only healing springs as it works fine and I can't actually loose magicka even with endless spam button mashing

Maybe I need to mix it up... *shrugs* Could someone try it JUST with Healing Springs and see if it procs please?

You know it doesn't land on you, necessarily, right?

It drops a totem from the air (lands loud and hard) on one of your teammates (can be you) and provides an AoE heal dot. It resembles one of those three pronged oversized daedric candle holders you see in CH.

It can proc from anything that heals*(Restro, Surge, even a potion) and is most noticeable when you're using long running HoTs (like mutagen, etc)

Also, are you sure your guys aren't avoiding it? Sound crazy, but the first few times you see it, it honestly looks like something you want to get away from, not stand close by.

Break out Mutagen and listen for the boom, and I almost guarantee you'll see it.

(Also, I think they have to actually get healed for it to proc - meaning if they're staying at 100% health and/or not taking damage, you may not see it.)

It's a nice healing set when your group is actually able to stay in one spot.

EDIT: *So long as the setholder initiates the heal, that is.

I've been keeping an eye out just generally for it.

I'll slap on mutegen and see if I can proc it.... *Shrugs*

You do make a valid point. Due to the build I can generally keep the 3 others in a dungeon at 100%....so maybe that's it *shrugs*

Yeah, 2% seems ridiculously low, but when you figure how long/how often you heal 50 times between a group of four or more, it procs a lot more than you would expect it to.

Good luck.

Just let your guys take some damage first. Once you've seen it, it becomes much easier to spot after.

PC EU DC here too, will be happy to stand there spamming heals with you to check proc rate.

The added benefit with the set, and it's been tested in vDSA, is the totem will drop randomly on a teammate who doesn't have to be within range of any of your heals and so works as a nice emergency heal for them should they need it and be out of range.

I don't have the shoulders yet so I've not used it myself, but I've definitely seen it proc.

But you need to k.ow what you are looking for.

I might swap it back in then. I'll lose a little magicka from it but negligible.

On a side note, have they confirmed that Monster helms are going up to 14?

I've been using it for months and it procs a lot. Keep at least 2 heals over time on your whole group and the totems will keep dropping.

It will only proc when you actually heal an ally, if they are at full health there is no healing done and the set will do nothing.

@dap_robertb16_ESO , only if they have an active heal on them at the time.

No active heal (even preemptive Mutagen, etc) and out of range = no totem.

They'll actuallly go up to VR16 if it's scaled accordingly, shoulders too.

So what about all the present bound v12's. All just decon material???

Would be nice if they allowed the ability to sell them on

Decon (after finding replacements, of course), hand-me-down to alt, or hold on for when they get rid of Vet Ranks in hopes that they flatten out the gear somehow.
