What defines a spell?
So I have relatively high spell critical but I want to know what defines a spell. Do abilities like flame lash use spell critical or weapon critical? And what about ward ally? can i critical my ward so it absorbs more damage before diminishing? Ive looked online quite a bit but i haven't found any concrete answers.

✭✭✭✭✭It's safe to say, that as long as an ability costs Magicka, it is a spell and is affected by spell critical.
The initial heal of Healing Ward can crit and also the final tick can heal, But the shield itself cannot crit.Auri-El is my lord,
