And allow text chat for consoles so people with the hearing not possible can communicate.... Im pretty sure voice chat is not a viable means of communication for them...

✭✭✭✭✭Accessibility wise, PCs have always been better. My hearing impaired friend does not use consoles based on this fact. Console games will never been up to par with that of PC in terms of what he requires.

No i am partially deaf my self and have a couple of friends who play consoles who are completly deaf... Im just pointing out the need for this as not everyone can hear as i am sure zos was aware of when they took text chat out of console release... And you are correct pc wise its easier but consoles are more affordable than a gaming rig pc which is why my system cant handle this game on pc...3 -

Estivara✭Can't agree with you more. Optional on-screen subtitles, especially for "cutscene" dialog that just happens between NPCs, is crucial to understanding the plot and story of some quests.0

A gaming PC is only slightly more expensive than a console, by maybe $100 or so, if you know what you're doing. Then when you need to upgrade, you can upgrade the parts you need, which ends up MUCH cheaper than a console where you need to shell out another $400-500 because you can't upgrade the individual parts.2 -

Considering a PC is a lot more than a gaming platform (work tool, business tool, learning tool etc), I would expect it to be light years ahead in that respect. It's not really an indictment on consoles.

But if we continue to do nothing then we will eventually not give a darn about the game. Its only a matter of time till they accept they messed up.

Millions played FF XI on PS2 , with text chat , FFXIV ARR on PS3 and PS4 with text chat , DCUO on PS3/4 with text chat , Neverwinter on Xbox One with text Chat , FFXI On Xbox 360 with text chat.
In other words every other major mmo on console has had text chat , and deaf players could and did communicate.
So yes , expecting ESO to have the same isn't so far fetched.0 -
crytantrevors✭✭✭Even if not everyone has a keyboard to plug in, and lets face it most people who own a ps4 or xbox one usally do... They can type from their controller. It may not be quick with controller typing but its better than nothing and not everyone can hear aka deaf people and alot of people dont habe mics or even like being in voice chat... Goto a main city and sit in voice channels to see why its annoying to hear 20 people talking over each other0

MrGrimey✭✭✭✭✭You don't even need a keyboard... Text chat on console MMOs is mainly for LFG and trade functions, where "words per minute" is not important. When in a group, most responsible players switch to voice for instant communication.
All you console virgins, saying that you need a keyboard, please hold off on your opinion if you've never played a console mmo because it's obvious when people talk about topics that they absolutely know nothing about0
