Customer Survey

Zos there is great feedback for you on the forums and I'm glad it seems you all are working so hard to listen and respond. Just a thought - have you guys ever thought about implementing a customer survey at the login screen? This would work like the terms of service agreement acceptance form and would be a quick 10-minute survey that asks questions like:

What quality of life changes would you most like to see implemented?

What would you say is the appropriate CP cap for the first seasonal CP cap?

Should players with high CP retain any CP they have earned past the seasonal CP Cap?

What new mounts (and other items) would you most like to see in the crown store?

How should access be controlled in imperial city?

Etc etc etc

Obviously you would decide what questions are most important for the game. But ultimately the reason for this would be to gather input from all players, not just those of us who post on the forums. People can decline to take the survey but maybe there can be a small incentive like 200 crowns.

I think having this broad player feedback would be really helpful in making decisions that are not only informed by business intelligence and the vocal minority, but by the entire player base. It could also be backup justification for making important decisions that influence the game.

Just a thought, coming from a sociologist.

Even though I like to see companies acting upon customer feedback (mainly because I analyse a few of those in my job), I don't really want to see such things before I start a video game.

I think their website would be a better place, or sending emails using their database of contact details so you can create surveys based on your subscription model and how happy you are with the value for money offered.

To be fair to the OP, RIFT attempted a survey to find out what moves players, and rewarded those who responded to the survey with an unique title (I was one of the people who responded to the survey).

I honestly think ESO should attempt a survey of its customers. If ZeniMax knows what customers wants and what aspects of the game they like/dislike that could help them now and in the future. But they need to make sure the survey is available to all players, be it PC/Mac or on Console.

Yea I agree that having to click through a survey before logging would be somewhat annoying, but if there's the option to decline and there's a nice compensation for a short survey, doing this from within the game would probably get the most representative population

This is a good question. ZoS did email surveys after each beta weekend, I don't understand why they don't continue the practice. I wouldn't do it like the ToS, where it's mandatory, but to have an option to fill out the latest survey on the character selection screen would be good. The forums are a bit subjective as a feedback mechanism, something more structured would provide better empirical data.

I would welcome an in-game survey. I believe it would be the best way to get feedback from the majority of the player base. The forums is the worst way to survey, since only the vocal few are here and most have 'issues'.

    One of two reasons.......
    1. They don't care
    2. They are tirelessly working to solve the numerous other issues that have been plaguing the game since PC launch (pfffft yeah right).

I'd say it's definitely option 1. They just don't give a flip about what we think.
