Since console launch I've played a lot of ESO and stupidly brought too many crowns. There are a number of issues posted in this forum that are extremely frustrating a ruining enjoyment for a number of players. In most threads there's no ZoS response and in the ones that have one, either the blame is being shifted to Sony, the player's equiptment or they're just asking for information.

I understand that ZoS needs this information, but this far into release what I would of expected from ZoS would be to publicly acknowledge the existence of a variety of defects and issues and an indication as to whether or not they're looking into them.

As it stands, myself and other users have reported the following issues:
  • CE-34878-0 - ZoS response: contact Sony....
  • Unable to connect to game server. Please make sure you have a valid internet connection - ZoS response: provide more information
  • PvP lag/general lag/disconnects - ZoS response: You must be using WiFi in one thread, other major threads have no response at all

These 3 issues are experienced alone or all at some time for many users, at this point in time ZoS have done nothing to reassure the community that they have a handle on things, either they are trying to ignore the issue hoping it goes away, are disconnected with the player base/bad a communicating, or genuinely think it's the player's issue.. possibly a combination.

Either way this is simply unacceptable, either they are aware and aren't telling us, or are aware and fixing it but not communicating it.

Every user paid money to play this game and I think the user's who are having issues are probably at a point where they're getting fed up. All I ask is for proper communication, and to acknowledge the issues. Admitting something is wrong I'm okay with, but ignoring it is not acceptable for a company of this size.

    In my opinion - ignoring it is never acceptable for a company of any size. Some companies handle communication better than others. Zenimax is actually handling communication decently compared to some others (i.e. Bungie with Destiny, War Thunder) but it is no where near the best of companies.

    I do agree that there needs to be better communication.

    This is definitely desirable but isn't stopping people actually playing the game. First and foremost ZoS should acknowledge the existence of issues such as crashes and lag. To be honest if they started releasing features like text chat and mute before fixing these issues or at least confirming their existence, I'll be even more jaded.

    Have been having exactly those three issues, and YES it is ruining a game I otherwise absolutely love more than any other PS4 title to date.

    I have received exactly those same worthless responses from Tech Support and the problems continue.

    After today's ALL DAY outage with no response nor acknowledgement, I am seriously on the verge of giving up and seeking a refund for game purchase AND ESO sub.

    Wrote 3 times to support team already, it took them 12 hours to acknowledge the issue. 12 hours, Karl. Where are Community Managers and ETAs? I mean people paiy their subs not to waste hours of their valuable recreation time to watch login wheel spinning. On the side note - If I would violate SLAs like that on my job - I'd be fired by now, lol. That's why I find this situation unacceptable.

    Sorry, I disagree, I'd rather take a random crash or two, or some random lag vs not being able to mute people, and texting/chat would be awesome. They know they screwed up PS4 with this last patch, they will fix it, hopefully. Or they can be like Destiny and not care at all about lag/crashes...

    Sorry, I disagree, I'd rather take a random crash or two, or some random lag vs not being able to mute people, and texting/chat would be awesome. They know they screwed up PS4 with this last patch, they will fix it, hopefully. Or they can be like Destiny and not care at all about lag/crashes...

    For the people impacted by this, it isn't some 'random' lag or crash, it's consistent and game breaking. If for you it's not I can understand your stance but look at myriad of posts in related threads about the issue.

    I'm all for text chat and mute, but it means nothing to me if I can't consistently play the game.

    CORRECT. I get kicked from the game almost daily. Now, look at it from my point of view, I get harassed more than you get lag and more than you get kicked from the game. I've already had to block 30 guys in 3 weeks. Sony only allows 30 blocks. So, I can no longer mute the boys/men of ESO. Therefore, I believe my sanity, and happiness depends on them fixing this issue of the lack of a Mute Feature...

I've already had to block 30 guys in 3 weeks. Sony only allows 30 blocks. So, I can no longer mute the boys/men of ESO. Therefore, I believe my sanity, and happiness depends on them fixing this issue of the lack of a Mute Feature...

    If you're finding that many people harassing you on a daily basis maybe its something about you. Are you one of the annoying people that blasts music in area chat or doing other obnoxious stuff, are you really bad at the game, do you treat others poorly? I play daily & have meet bunch of fun people while only needing to block few (music).

    I keep getting kicked from the game and I find that more annoying than the other people talking. Sure we can't "Mute," but one thing we can do is turn off the voice chat, or chat only to groups if you are in one. Unfortunately I can't seem to be logged in long enough to do anything productive to get to the part where I may have to interact with other people. This is my fifth attempt in trying to complete a quest in the last 30 minutes, where all I have left to do is talk to one person, 10 feet in front of me. I log in, see the person, talk to her, and mid conversation get kicked out.

    Server is down for over 30 hours and counting. No fix, no ETA. And it's weekend, when people expect to spend more time in game.

    You can simply leave local chat if you're experiencing this. If you need to ask around join it when you do. If this is happening in guild, you might be in the wrong one.

    Seeing as I can 'work around' not being able to hear people, which I do a lot due to mouth breathing/music/people having convos it doesn't bother me.

    Don't get me wrong, I would be vocal about other issues, namely muting, text chat, and group finder, but not being able to enjoy the core game play bothers me a lot more than being able to selectively mute someone when I can just stop hearing a whole channel by choice.

    In saying that though I've never had an issue with people intentionally harassing me in game just for being me, it's only been an issue if I've provoked someone. If you do, it sounds like maybe you're inviting that behaviour some how by provoking/doing something irritating/retaliating.

    Ultimately, not being able to mute someone isn't a broken feature, it's a desirable one. Issues like lag, crashing, not connecting etc are core game play issues that need fixing. Adding new features should take a back seat over major bugs for any developer regardless.

    Are you not able to log in at all? I can get in, just not stay in for long.

    Nope, cannot get in at all. Stays stuck on spinning wheel loading screen forever.

    If I screw around with EU server on and off, I can sometimes get in for a few minutes but get kicked as soon as anything triggers a load screen. Then it's back to endlessly spinning wheel again.

    I used to play Halo 2 when I was 13, I remember the treatment women got. Not only would everyone lose their mind (as soon as a woman speaks on voice chat, theres at least two guys that go "uhhhhh is that a GIRL?!") trying to talk to her but theyd alao usually gang up on her (if its the opposite team and do a lot of corpse humping) or worse if its a matchmade game, her own teammates would start betraying her and corpse humping.

    Havent you cavemen wondered why 47% of video-gamers are women but you see less than a 1-to-10 females-to-males online? If women were respected enough to be allowed in the boys' club that is online gaming (or games in general) bet there'd be way more women than men playing

    I crash literally every time I'm in Cyrodiil... sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes after 20minutes, but it still happens. Every. Friekin. Time.

I said something cause the advice was completely *** shut off your chat leave unless you need to enter thats stupid how about giving some support saying thinggs like you wont play with people like that. Hopefully people take notice and eventually everyone can be copacetic. Except me cuz i hate everyone

    Whether true or not it's still not relevant when talking about a broken game. This is is not specific to ESO and is a social issue that needs to be addressed, not with a mute button but with fairer treatment of women in any aspect of life.

    ESO definitely needs some form of mute, but the game breaking issues need to be fixed. For the people in the same situation as this player, some of them aren't even able to play. So yeah, I honestly don't care if one player is in this situation because there are still workarounds for them, they can join a friendly guild and leave local, they can leave voice chat all together, report players or just ignore it.

    So...just so we're clear, the "block" button? It mutes people. That's...all. It's a mute button.
