Will Senche Leopard ever be available again? If not, why limit items to "now or never"

You didn't see the in-game system message?

That was the specific reason I did not buy the thing. It was also too high a price to pay, but I had the Crowns to spend. However as soon as I saw the in game advertisement splashed on my screen as I was supposed to be celebrating winning the Arena quests, I said no way will I ever buy this or anything that is advertised during game play.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Unlimited is limited all over the place... How can it be called unlimited then the paid service called "plus"? I mean its like saying infinity plus one.

They should have called it Limited for free to play (oh sorry BUY to play) and unlimited for subscribers.

I woulda bought it, but the offer ended just a couple days before payday, had some extra bills that meant I was low at the time of it.

Tis a shame, but theres bound to be more eventually.

#2) ESO Plus is just a gimmick.

Basically it is subscribers buying crowns and getting a few measly perks (if you can call them that), that make very little difference on game play.

There is technically no difference between subbing and just buying Crowns outright to use to purchase DLC with because both are paying the same amount for the same content, just in a different manner.

For example, if the ESO Plus member stops subscribing, then they are going to have to use the crowns given with ESO Plus to purchase the DLC like every one else. If they used those crowns for stupid stuff, that is their fault and they will have to subscribe again to gain access or buy the crowns outright.

So, if you think about it, over the long term, it is the dedicated subscriber who ends up paying way more, especially right now when there is no new content (Justice System does not count). There is only cosmetic items and other things people are too darn lazy to look for in game via regular play.

So I disagree with you. ESO is Unlimted. You have unlimited access to all the content currently available. There is no pay wall to it. When future content is released, you can either buy the DLC outright with Crowns you purchase from ZOS, OR you get access to it temporarily as a subscriber, but should you unsubscribe, you will need to use Crowns to purchase the DLC like every one else.

@HyperiousInfected yeah that one is different, the other wasn't clouded. And I think the older one had more white? I guess I'll look in game when I'm on next, but yeah, positive that clouded one is "different".

Not so limited if it repeats availability.
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

Okay, so I missed out on the leopard which I'm kind of bummed about. I made the mistake of reading a post from a game-related website that said the leopard would be "available through April 20th". I took this to mean it would still be available today (until midnight or so, which would be through Monday). Granted I should have probably not relied on an announcement from another site and researched it a bit more, but it is what it is.

So, I'm wondering what 'limited time' means in this instance and if this item will ever be available again?

This got me thinking, why do items have to be for a 'limited time, then never again' -- who does that really benefit? A few players who have an 'I gotta feel more special than others' type of mentality? Or is it the devs? And do they believe that it is really beneficial in having the item available only temporarily?

In addition, I am a student (recently went back to school) and school is expensive, so often times I have limited funds available to spend on games and in-game items. So I may not always have the extra cash available at the time a limited item is released.

Furthermore, as someone that owned an Internet Cafe / Lan Center for a few years, I can attest to the fact that the majority of gamers are not overly wealthy individuals and many of them don't always have extra cash lying around all the time.

So wouldn't it be beneficial to not have items that are only available once?

I'm really hoping that this items is a 'limited time for now' type of thing and will in fact be available again some time in the future.

I can understand the devs having something available for a limited time as long as it's an annual thing or something to that effect, but not limited and then never again type of thing....as that just sucks IMHO!

Funny, I just mentioned the same thing to my husband. Would love to see a snow leopard, white tiger or white male lion added.

Don't mistake "Limited time" for "Limited Edition" (which doesn't mean at ZoS what it means everywhere else on the planey, anyway).

They'll reintroduce anything that will make them $$$.

By limiting the timeframe(s), they create an artificial shortage and increase demand. This is very much by design.

To restrict (permanently) the sale of something is counter to every marketing strategy they've ever had.

"Limited" does not equal "Exclusive" in ZoS terminology.

Heck, "Exclusive" does not equal "Exclusive" in ZoS terminology. (Just look at the Imperial Edition, Explorer's Pack, etc...both 'exclusive perks that are but a few crowns away now.)
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

I disagree about the marketing. By NOT repeating the limited time mounts they have created a group of people who buy every one that comes out now because they are afraid that if they miss one it will be gone forever. As soon as the repeat one that sales model will be broken. They will never make as much on a spotted leopard repeat as they will on the bear and the snow leopard.
