[PS4 NA][Blackwater Blade][Haderus] A special message to DC and AD

Hi guys. First off, I would like to say that playing against the both of you in PVP is so much fun! I especially love the gate camping in Haderus. Or getting attacked on both sides in Blackwater Blade while while the AD/DC side of the map remains the same throughout the entire campaign. Well done!

But there is one thing that I should mention. Did you know that yellow and blue are in fact different colors representing different sides of a three-way war? Crazy, I know. And did you know that you can, in fact, attack each other and will gain AP by doing so?

Just the other day, I was minding my own business munching on sweetrolls in Haderus (a campaign completely dominated by AD) when I spot a group of 12+ DC charge up to the EP's gate and fight alongside AD against the imposing threat of a faction who can't even leave their starting area. I should also mention that DC currently doesn't own a single keep - and that group of strong DC players could have easily retaken at least one of their keeps. But no, they went to hold hands with AD to fight (and occasionally pick daisies) by EP's gate. I wouldn't be making this post if at least one DC attacked at least one AD in this instance - but any chance of hostility was immediately into an impromptu dance-off. I wish I was making that up.

And don't get me started on Blackwater Blade. Once in a lifetime, AD will take a DC keep and vice versa. But only for emperor purposes. Once that ends, they go back to holding hands.

Look guys, I'll admit it. I'm disgruntled. What was supposed to be 1v1v1 always turns into 2v1. That isn't fair, that isn't fun and that isn't what Cyrodiil is all about. Any truce of any kind is absurd in this kind of PVP.

For the sake of saving time - here are my responses to frequent questions from other similar topics.

"But the factions will always go after the weakest faction"
Normally yes, but even when EP turns the tables around, AD refuses to go after DC if they are the weakest, and DC refuses to go after AD. This happens over and over again.

"But we fight AD/DC all the time!"
With skirmishes so small they don't even count as fighting. Take multiple keeps and then I'll be impressed. Everyone knows that you're able to take a keep - you're just unwilling. And that's sad.

"But EP teams up with AD/DC on Xbox/PC!!"
And we shouldn't! These makeshift alliances throw off the mechanics of PVP in Cyrodiil.

"But I have guild mates in other factions!"
So what? Kill them. Apologize. Then kill them again.

"L2P!!"

NO U!

Having David fight David isn't nearly as smart has having David and David both fight Goliath.

It's a compliment to the Pact's might that our enemies have to team up!

Yeah but alliances are fun like that.

I can't speak for Blackwater as it's a not vet and I've never played it.

However, Haderus is my main and I gotta say, it can have some very fun moments. Last week DC and EP both made very big pushes, iirc AD was down to 3 or 4 keeps at one point. It was the most populated I'd seen Haderus and it was awesome. EP at 2 bars pop is pretty common, but DC getting above 1 is downright rare. I wish more quality players would transfer over, as EP and AD both field some great peeps atm making the fights very fun. I really wish it becomes a popular campaign among the other 2 factions (come on DC!) and realistically EP doesn't need many more peeps to make it a competitive ballgame.

As far as the gate camping goes, yeah, that's boring as hell. I tend to play until the server devolves into that and switch to my guest campaign. That said, those few hours a day retaking what EP has grabbed and fighting skirmishes with them is incredibly fun and the fights are always competitive. Just earlier today there was a large number of EP on, they pushed and took a handful of keeps before being overwhelmed and held the scroll gate for quite a while, even managing to retake a keep, before eventually being overwhelmed by the numbers AD had (sad fate of pop lock vs 2 bars vs no bars). Even then they made us fight for every inch. At One point I swore I say a zerg on the horizon kill a guy, but not being sure who it was I stealthed and got closer only to find 4 EP players, 2 of whom where in the process of stealthing and a dead AD. Obviously this wasn't quite right, so I pop a detect pot and find 20+ EP players stealthed waiting to ambush. Sneaky buggers, couldn't have that. As the AD group approached I popped clouding swarm and walked right into the middle of their stealth zerg revealing em all. They were routed, and it was glorious, but I was mad impressed with the tactics.

Detect pots. Don't leave home without em, lol.

I even saw three DC players today! That's like seeing 3 Siberian tigers.

Anyway, bottom line for Haderus: Yes, camping the zone in is utterly stupid, boring (even from the AD side imo) and needs to stop. (AD peeps, when you've pushed EP that far go PvE in Cyrodiil, hunt skyshades, farm cold harbor siege at dolmens, guest in another campaign, ANYTHING BUT GATE CAMP and leave the EP be so they can take a few keeps and make the PvP interesting and enjoyable for all sides again). But more importantly WTB more good EP and DC players to make Haderus their home! As I said, AD and EP both have a good base of smart, strong players. EP needs more, and DC needs a lot (and I know you guys have good players to spare, you're pop capped 24/7 on Azura and have some of the best peeps on the campaign, switch homes! No ques! Make Haderus interesting!)

Lastly, every faction has a vet and non vet server that they dominate. It's the "buff campaign". Buff campaigns will be disappearing with IC theoretically (hurray!). Haderus is currently the AD buff campaign, but I'd rather see it become a competitive 3 way PvP campaign.

buff servers= gate farming. sorry but its true unfortunately. EP had 2 but one has begun to get more competitive for USPS4.

Like @AlaskeyLandshark said, hopefully buff servers will be a thing of the past when IC comes out.

We'll see. So far it seems EP is going to be just POP capped on every server. My guild was part of the first campaign on Azuras but had to leave due to the bad queue times.

BTW you know EP likes to do the same right? Camping at our gates and even at our spawn location.

Yeah, I know. I don't condone gate camping at all. It takes away all the fun and discourages players from participating in pvp.

^ We like to call it TDM. Lol

I would like to blame FPS for the problem which is basically what they are doing when they gate camp

It would be great if AD would stop gate camping, i don't see it ever happening on haderus. Don't worry about it though, The EP and DC will get organized and large enough in force to take back control of the map. If they end up failing then haderus is just an AD buff campaign.

No one can police the players, and while most of the ones i talked to seemed cool, there are also some... Potatos in the sack.

Hope to see you out there fellow EP,

I am in one of those EP guilds on Haderus that push out almost every night.
All I can say is kudos to your post and attitude, wish more of your AD brothers thought the same.
