Best dps abilities for dragonknight.

I'm vet 7 and been playing a tank. Going to respec this weekend. What dragonknight ability is best for dps. Want to add a bit into my play. I guess it'll be aren't flame. I only use chains, and that for pvp.

What is the best and which morph should I then take?

Should add, I always run dungeons with a high dps sorc and a healer template. 4th changes depending who's on. Any abilities that would aid the sorc get even more dps? Something that reduces spell resistance or something?

PVP setup probably different from PVE

But for PVP I like Dragons Leap a lot to switch up the battle and hopefully go on the offensive rather than always being defensive for the ULT/if the shield procs that is a nice bonus.

Either flame lash/whip or crushing shock I guess, I prefer flame since again with PVP constantly moving it is easier to me to roll or backpeddle or circle with flame lash rather than shock but maybe it is a LTP.
Sea of flames on both bars.
Coag Blood on first bar so you don't have to switch.
Igneous shield for me to give your some time.
Fire Ring to spam.

Again this for me is more of a PVP setup, PVE you would have a lot more choices.

Lack burst damage at least for me still on V2

Corrisive armor is my favorite ultimate. It seriously may be the most OP ultimate in the game in terms of keeping you alive and turning the tables in a fight. Choking talons with Flame Lash is a good combo I'm finding if you are a magica build. If you're a stamina build then wrecking blow or steel tornado for your dps. But for tanking as a DK I think magica is better than stamina because you can spam dragon blood (either morph works fine but GDB does give you some extra stamina recovery which is nice) and Scales, Reflective Plate is probably the better morph because it also gives you a spell shield. Igneous Shield is good in PvP because it also gives the shield to your allies. But if you're a tank, your strength isn't in dps anyway, it's in staying alive and keeping your enemies busy for the dpsers to burn down.

Corrosive armor is great and I use it a lot, but not always. I fought a world boss to a no win fight...... over and over one time because I forgot I had it on both bars.......I usually slot a different ulti on the other bar.

After a while I had to just run away.........I could not kill him, and he could not kill me! I came back with DK standard slotted on my other bar and fought him and his add again........dropped the standard........boom!.........killed him in no time at all.

That said, do try it........you will like it.

I've started playing around with fire breath (I think it's called). Not great damage, but the morph that reduces enemies armor should work with with igneous weapons.

I don't know that this is the best dps but my most effective rotation is structured entropy > engulfing flames > burning embers or ash cloud (or both ) followed by molten whip spam. I'm a dunmer magicka DK.

I think structured entropy's 20% spell damage buff doesn't increase the damage of each spell by 20%, but just overall spell damage. Nonetheless, I use it for the heal and maximum health boost.

As a dunmer, engulfing flames > favorite dot > molten whip spam really gets the job done

if your going to be a magicka fire dk make sure you take the morph of breath that increase fire dmg taken by 8%
