I agree., after preordering the PC version, I never subbed cuz playing on my couch with kb/m was too hard. Eventually, when the sub fee ended I started using xpadder, but native support would be very welcome, as I would prefer to play on PC than xbox.

Definitely needs a controller interface. Xpadder/Pinnacle is no where near as good as the console version. This would actually push me to play this game far more often. Usually im all for mouse and keyboard but this game I like to sit back and quest. Controller is the best way to do that. Not like I really need precision for combat anyway

Pc should get controller support and console keyboard and mouse support... Besides the devs claim the only diference is the platform and not the game :/

Ok new rule. Let's stop undermining these post with " hey xpadder works just great" etc. the devs need to know that a HUGE majority of PC players want native controller support.

Really, based on what? Most PC players I know tend to prefer the keyboard and mouse.

I'd love some native support, too. At least Pinnacle Game Profiler lets me play the game using the controller for now. Given that the console version is out hopefully we get some native support soon. When I compare how the game plays on my PS4 controller on the PS4 vs. the PC, the PS4 experience is a lot smoother on the controller.

I just played this game on my mom's PS4 this weekend (she is 72 btw) and I have to say, I could not play this game with a controller. I could learn how, but I don't think I would ever like it that way.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Native controller support can't come soon enough. It's the only thing holding me back from really getting back into the game. But to pass the time I'm currently replaying fallout 3 on the PC with a controller :)

Stop telling people to use xpadder or pinnacle. It is not possible to emulate even close to the precision of how consoles play with a controller. Not to mention the UI differences. To anybody reading this: Do not believe anyone stating they can play with emulation software to use a controller. It is a slow, clunky, eye-squinting experience that will significantly decrease your reaction time. Software like pinnacle profiler works wonders for many games, but ESO is not one of them.
End the tedious inventory management game.

Xpadder or pinnacle seems to be working for most people. The keyboard and mouse appears to be doing fine on pc no need really for the xbox one or ps4 controller. I do however love the xbox controller on the one it is a pleasant change. You can always buy glow in the dark keyboards and Mouses with 6 to 12 keys to give you that controller feeling. Also some of the keyboards make a click sound for that accurate feeling and assurance. Keyypads work great to you get to nail those w,s, and d keys everytime.

Funny, but I've done it almost since launch and never had any problem. I have no problem in PvE or PvP with a controller. It's not like this is a game that requires split-second headshots or something. You just need the right profile (I use a modified version of Darcula's Xpadder profile, with inverted y-axis and slightly more sensitivity on the sticks).

I would love to see actual controller support for this game. It's been the biggest thing that kept me from playing the PC version. I've tried multiple 3rd party programs with multiple profiles, but none of them worked to my liking. I picked up the PS4 version and really enjoy how the game plays, but the lesser graphics, and lacking communication leave a bit to be desired, compared to the PC version.

Agree. I have played with a controller and Xpadder since beta. I find it much easier to move and rotate views with the controller. I play from an easy chair on a big screen, so a KB/M is awkward to say the least. I admit the controller is not perfect, and the UI is not made to use with a controller, but it's irresponsible to say you cannot play with a controller on PC.

I quit playing ESO on pc because of no Game Pad Support. Add on software is just too slow in the menus to use. Played the ESO on Xbox One and PS4 - game pads work great, menus ui work good.
But I still would prefer PC since it has way better graphics and faster loading times.

So, until ESO adds GAME PAD SUPPORT they lost a significant number of players.
There is no excuse for no option for game pad support now since Xbox One has it.

I'm a gamepad advocate and I was about ready to ditch ESO until I found Keysticks.

That being said, while I'm cautiously optimistic for native controller support, I'm paranoid that their layout will be so foreign to what i have currently programmed that I may just stick with what I got.

But if all the gamepad button assignments are completely reprogrammable then put me in the "hurry up and get this done ZOS" camp ;-)

Oh, and major extra points if allowed to seamlessly switch to keyboard control (always best when in inventory, IMO)

I would actually buy it if they would patch in proper support for 360 controller. It's been over a year, and the console versions are out. Hopefully it's in a coming soon patch.

I love the seamless switching from keyboard to controller Witcher 3 does. Would love to see that in ESO.

Third party software does not offer what I am looking for in controller support. What I like about controller support is the 360 degree movement and gradual movement speed afforded by a stick. Keyboard offers 8 directions at 3 movement speeds barring snares and speed buffs. Third party software will put a controller in my hands, but it's still just a keyboard under the hood.

    Have you tried Pinnacle advanced

AND this also may require a specific type of controller.

My old Pinnacle build prior to console allowed me to tilt and walk. Tilt far and sprint and letting go stopped sprinting.
The walking was and stuff did require a lot of work but there are some online tutorials or just contact Pinnacle via their forums and their techs and forums members are happy to help you out.

Do this with a keypad attached to a pS4 or Xbox one controller OR buy one of those $200 fully customized Xbox one or ps4 controllers and you should have more customization that's the way to do it right now.

I'm sure this will offer more than what ZOS will build in

All for $9.99!!! (Plus a controller and keypad if u don't have one already)
