The Map/Quest system in this game is so complicated
Why couldnt they make the map and quest system like Skyrim, here its extremely complicated i have no idea where im going or where the quests are and when i look at the map it shows me other regions and i must scroll to find where i am and even when i find myself i cant see the quests, after 5 mins it gives me headache and i log out
Quests are conveniently segregated by area in your journal, so you can easily check if you're looking at the right map. Some quest markers are tricky, though. For example, I could never find writ turn-in locations when they were introduced.
The quest and map system is so dumbed down already! Go try Morrowind, where you have to talk to everyone, and instead of seeing big quest markers on people you have to ask if there's any news/gossip in town.

Oh that used to drive me nuts. Luckily my husband had played it a bunch and has a ridiculously good spacial memory, so after getting too frustrated with "it's north of X", I'd ask him to come maneuver my character to the right place.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis
What are you people talking about... the map/quest system is so easy... the only thing I could think of to make it better would be giving the daily crafting quests markers on the compass a different color... though that's no big deal either.
As has been mentioned, yes, if a marker is at a distance, it won't show on compass unless its the active quest. You can change that in journal, or flip through active quests on your UI - mothing easier then this.
As for the old minimap thing... I very much prefer ESO without that. I mean, come on, are there really so many people incapable of using their heads to figure out which direction to go? No, didn't think so... so its just lazyness...
Between an occasional glance at the map and proper use of your compass, you can easily find your way. Or just strike out into the wilderness and explore, then find your way back, maybe stumble over a treasure chest or three along the way...
In any case, I find it much more fun then those darn minimap games which show you exactly where to go, where everything is, and all that. Very happy ESO ditched the minimap.
