can a bow and dual wield output as much damage as a two hander and dual wield?

No. Momentum give's you 20% more damage. You will lack heal's without a 2h until you can obtain Vigor.

Even then, I would take the extra 20% damage buff with a heal AND the HoT of Vigor for extra survivability.

So 2h is virtually a must for stamina nightblades because of the lack of a class healing spell that isn't based off max health or stamina. Templars have Repentance, DKs have Dragon's Blood, and Sorcerers have Dark Exchange, but Nightblades got the shaft in that department.

I agree, even though i want to play DW with Vigor, it's looking like Rally with Vigor will still be superior. Even with Hidden Blade getting Major Brutality, you will have to open with it to take any advantage of the increased damage. Hidden blade's damage is already pretty poor, nothing compared to opening with a heavy 2h attack.

Nb's have heal's, just they need to kill to heal. Marked Target / Killer's Blade. Personally i would much rather these ability's do some sort of heal when used.

Mark Target : All damage done to target return's a % of the damage back as hp.

Killer's Blade is still great. However i think they should make it like Executioner where it scale's from 50%. Making it much more viable. Then make it also return a % of health without the need for a kill. So even if you fail to execute you receive some healing.

No matter how hard i try, dw seem's out of place for a nb. I'm thinking DW's only potential is steel tornado.

I say DW. You can always get your Major Brutality from potions and that frees up your bar for another ability. Steel Tornadow is hands down the best stamina AoE and you can get more set bonuses. This is just my personal opinion.

@Reeko The question was DW *and* bow OR DW *and* 2-hander.

@FrostGolem What everyone else said. 2H/DW has higher raw DPS than DW/bow.

Sorry your highness i will rephrase: I say DW AND Bow for the superior AoE and damage sustain. As well as the reasons i mentioned above. Also, some boss fights require you to go range dps so i don't see the point in having 2 melee weapon bars. As far as the heal goes, if you are running dungeons you should already have a dedicated healer with you. Plus there is always Swallow Soul.
