Tbh, I've never had any major negative experiences specifically because of my gender. If I understand, it's only because I heard what sometimes happens to others, but this is what anyone could hear, so being a man doesn't prevent you from understanding.I don't really understand this kind of subtle discrimination. It's probably because i play without a mic or even audio coming from the game, but i really do not care about peoples gender. It makes no difference, theres some good people, some bad people, some who don't care. But at the end of the day, we're all just people. I can guess it's more about past experiences, experiences which i can't truly see i've lived, as being from the opposite gender.
Mind you, i'm not trying to talk from a high horse. Obviously, i can conceive some people want to play with others who are more akin to themselves than other players, and it would be ridiculous to keep you from doing so.
All in all, good luck
You don't really understand it because you aren't a woman.

Then I guess I don't truly understand it either. Fair enough.Tbh, I've never had any major negative experiences specifically because of my gender. Understanding secondhand through what someone else may have experienced is a long way away from directly and personally experiencing the struggles and hardships firsthand. It is impossible for men to truly understand what it is like to be a woman in a male dominated society, and (specifically) the male dominated and highly misogynistic realm of online gaming.

Post a thread on the forums. Oh wait, if you do that, you'll be insulted, accused of being sexist, a feminist, and an attention seeker.
Join a female guild. Oh wait, if you do that, you'll be accused of being a feminist and sexist.
Finding other females in the game was hard for me. Joining a female guild made it much easier to find other females to play with. Please don't assume that just because someone is in a female guild it means that they won't play with or don't like male gamers.
...And there are male only guilds in the guild section. Do I think they're sexist? Absolutely not.

There's a lot of thirsty guys on the internet, so you'd better watch out.

Would gay guys work? We're basically girls with more attitude and more body hair.
