Keep getting kicked out every 5 minutes onto xbox dashboard

Hi everybody

Every single time I play it kicks me out. I can play anywhere from 30 seconds and up to a max of 10 minutes before it boots me out. No error code it just seems to close the game, takes me to the home page, and I have to reload the game. Tried on both servers and does the same thing. Also, I know when it is about to happen because I cannot click on anything and enemies do not attack me. I can run around for about another 10 seconds and then I'm back on the dashboard.
Any suggestions? This is driving me mad and I'm rushing through the game, not enjoying it, trying to get as much done it those few minutes.

    Hi Bananza,

    This problem has been happening a lot, so much so no one responds to these, not even the moderators. I have been suffering from this problem as well for almost 7 weeks and it is a huge pain. I have some suggestions that may work, one that definatly works but has a drawback and a high chance of working if you are a virgin customer.

    the ones that may work;

    1- delete the local game save from console.
    2- clear the blu-ray persistent storage.
    3- uninstall and reinstall the game.

    what works but with a draw back;

    block all chat in the privacy settings. This has worked but you are unable to chat to anyone in game.

    If you are a virgin customer with a router a year or so old then the problem lies with the router. you can either call up virgin and request a new router or go on their website, sign in and go to the my offers and upgrades tab and upgrade for a tiny amount (in my case, not sure if it depends on the bundle) added to your bill each month, but you get updated equipment including a router. Other people have said this works and I am in the process of doing this myself.

    I hope these help.

    Hiya

    Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I am a virgin customer as it stands. Ringing them and having a moan sounds like a good plan. Got my router March 2014..

    I'll try out your suggestions when I am a little less sleepy :). It really is so so so annoying, so I am glad (sorry) to hear I'm not the only one :p.
    If you get a new router and that has worked for you , please do get back to me.

    Much appreciated

    Run a cat5 cable to the XB1 and get off wifi. Solved my kick outs.

    I've had a similar issue a few times before with other games. My issue was resolved by restoring my Xbox to factory defaults with a factory restore. Being in the preview program I've learned this usually fixes most crash to dashboards issues. Drastic, yet effective.

    I will let you know if it does work but I was at my nans last week and she is with sky and has poor connection due to living at the coast and a 4 year old router; I didn't have a problem with crashing, just a bit of Lag. I hear that upgrading the router for Virgin media works.

    I'm on wired connection.

    I'm also on Virgin's top bundle so unable to upgrade my equipment.

    I don't have a problem with any other game excep ESO, so I'm convinced it's related to the game in some way.

    I've just taken it as a given that it's going to happen, so try and get on with it unfortunately

    I was the same as you, wired connection, Virgin's top bundle...............I too suffered with disconnects until i phoned Virgin and after two hours of arguing they finally sent me the Superhub 2ac.

    In short if you have Superhub 1 (cannot 100% confirm if Superhub 1 is ok) or Superhub 2ac it should not disconnect, if you have Superhub 2 (not ac) you will disconnect.

    Check the bottom of your router and see what hub you have.

    Some more info here: http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Gaming/Response-from-Elder-Scrolls-Online-re-disconnections-on-Virgin/td-p/2876244

    p.s Since owning the Superhub 2ac i have not had one single disconnect :) .................. Just be prepared to have a nightmare trying to get one as they will say everything is fine at their end and if you want one you will have to pay for one, just don't give up and stand your ground.

    @Silky_Shokz ..... I don't have Virgin, so I cant compare. I was on Comcast 50up/10down and ran the game on cat5 with no issues. Now I am now on Verizon 75up/75down and still have no issues. My prior wifi kick outs mostly happened when running dungeons with three other people.

    Not blaming anyone but how can it be the game if 50% of the people run fine and 50% of the people get kicked out. The only difference is the local XB1 and/or the local internet connection.

    Take a look at JayKay's link in his prior post. Appears there is an issue with Virgin Router's and the firmware. Some have resolved their issues by purchasing a different router.

    Good luck with your issue .....
