Remove Enlightenment Stack Limit

I stopped grinding for weeks because I focused on trading,
crafting, and PVPing. When I returned to grind for my champion
points, my enlightenment were all consumed after getting 10 CP.
That means i missed a lot of points. I started to get my CP everyday
since then, 1 CP for 1 enlightenment a day.

But now I have to attend to some real life thingy again, and I cant
play for another 15 days, and upon return I will only have 10 CP
with enlightenment bonus, so that means I will lost another 5.

I can live with 1 CP a day, and to get 3600 CPs in 3600 days which
will be less than 10 years from now since I already have 230+ CP.

Enlightement should stack up everyday with no limits.
If I didnt play for 1 month I should have 30 days of enlightement,
365 for 1 year.

That way we can have some sort of catch up system to those
dedicated grinders. It will not be enough but it will be a good thing
no matter what.

You can bank 12 days worth of enlightenment.

Yeah if the CP system stays the way it is now it is only a death sentence to ESO.
People will not even think about buying/playing this game a year from now if they are never going to be able to get on a competitive level with other players.

Whoever thought this system was a good idea is delusional at best.
I have said it before. "MMO's survive by the number of new players being equal to or greater than the players that leave/quit playing"

With ^^ that in mind.... This game is halfway in the grave. I love LOVE THIS GAME, but it frustrates the %*** out of me to see ZOS make decisions like this and not think LONG TERM.

If I don't log in for 30 days, I should have 60 hireling mails in my inbox. Unfortunately, that's not the way it works.

    thats a bit diffrent.

In the end I wish it stacked more than 12weeks, sorta a bridge between people who are done with the game and people who have things to deal with in live, I would say 1-3months would be nice.

I missed out on 1 month of CP and I was suprised by how far I fell behind,(I have 266 where most of my friends are in 400-500s)

I wish horse riding lessions stacked too... or hireling mails...

    But they don't.

    As for enlightment...
12 days is enough, I say.

As for missing out, well, you get what you play for!

As for catching up... someday, when the gap between old guard and newcomers will become ever wider, they might add "catchup" features.
Like, say, a week unlimited enlightment for people below 100 or 200 c-points. Like, a week double enlightment for all under 500 c-points. Possibly even c-point level specific c-point rewards for special quests... do the weeks special, get 5 c-points if below 100, 2 c-points if below 200, 1 c.point if below 300, bothing if above that - stuff like that...
The powers that be will decide which form they will make this. But I expect sooner or later, they Will make something like that - most games eventually come up with some mechanic to goad new players into hopping on to catch up...

    12 weeks are literaly 3 months :D
but i´d wish that you could stack more than 12 days too.

I agree completely, the gap has already gotten prohibitively large for newcomers. There was a thread several days ago that did the math and showed the combat log it two toon, one with the champion points, and one without. And I don't think the number of points was even that high and the power difference was eye opening. I think capping gains for players with high cp numbers is a good first step, but I would say for those who only have a few, don't put a limit on enlightenment. Have unlimited enlightenment until you hit say, 500 (we all know that there are players with significantly higher numbers than that) and then it reverts back to normal one cp per day. There has been talk about a catchup mechanic, this is a perfect solution, it's even already built in.

As someone who is away for months at a time this would be awesome. It would also help encourage returning players.

3600 CP at 1 CP a day is almost 10 years. No cap needed lol.

The cap they are thinking about is supposed to count per expansion... so to not have few hardcore grindmeister players who grind 10 c-points per day completely overpower all the casual players who go with the 1 per day. amd send them quitting ESO for never ever being able to compete...
So, for example, they might go with, say, some 360 c-point cap for now, and raise it 90 c-points every time they release a new DLC... and they could install the cap on spending c-points, so those who did grind out 1000 points already (and there are rumours that indeed some did just that) won't loose all their work... they just wouldn't be able to use it quite yet...

    But we'll see what happens.

And they could easily make some "full stack worth of enlightment" item. Sell it in the crown store for extra profit... but also give some of them as bonus for returning players. Say, log in after being gone for three months, get your 12 days stacked enlightment... and a mail with three "stack enlightment" items, use up your stacked enlightment, then use the item to refill your stack... etc.
Yeah, it'd still be less then someone who plays every day. About half, actually. But that's still a good deal more then just the stacked enlightment, yet it also is less then what theose who do the time get (since, really, people shouldn't get something without doing something)...

+1 we can already see how the non-stop grinders pulled way ahead of general population in CPs. This is a reasonable suggestion to ease the widening cap of power between newbies and long time vets/grinders. I already hear new players often comment on "what's the point of trying", get discouraged and simply leave the game when they realize grinders already have 600, 900, 1100+ CPs, etc. It's concerning for the health of the game for sure.

I agree with removal of the limit. I see no reason for having it. Removal benefits casuals and has zero impact on hardcore players. Win win.

I also think that this duct - tape fix on hireling mails shold be fixed properly so that we can get them without logging in the toon.

Earlier this year I moved 3000 miles from the west coast to the east coast (US). My game time was limited at the same time 1.6 was released, and stopped completely for six weeks during the actual move and until I got set up in my new home. I had 90 CP when my internet service stopped in my old home.

Only six weeks later, when I finally was able to return and play the game daily, a friend I had played all the way from pre-launch in 2014 already had over 260 CP. No matter what I do, there's no way to close that 170+ CP gap between him and me.

This is only one example of the problems the poorly conceived CP system has created in the game. Not only the CP system by itself, but what ZOS did to character stats, the item numbering system, and other things to make CP fit in the game.

Now they are compounding those problems by adding two new vet ranks, a third new "monetary" system on top of gold and alliance points, and assorted other things that will just make the gap between players that much wider.

Outside of AvA (pvp), whats the problem with CP? Easiest solution in my mind is to take CP right out of pvp or put a low level cap on them.
Only played one other MMO. All new players had to start at level 1 & make their way to level 80. There was no automatic catch up. At least not in pve. Granted the version of AvA raised people to level 80 but it did not unlock all AvA skills. Players still had to rank up in that environment, which in itself takes years. Even so, low level players were still easy targets due to their lack of skills, etc.

The cps are an advantage but not a game changer. The bad player with many cp can still be beaten by the good player with few cp.

It's not the problem that it is being painted as on the forums.
