Gotcha...for me I believe the best way to work around this is to fully zoom in on the map prior to moving your cursor around.
I'm sure there are times my suggestion will not work but because there is no mouse support I prefer what exists.

Funny story.One of the problems I have is with the map system on the console. I play on the ps4 and can only assume it's the same for the xbox, when I'm trying to put a custom waypoint on the map the curser will be randomly drawn to the nearest location and make it virtually impossible at times to create a custom waypoint. Can we please have a way to turn this off? I would love to see a map option to turn this on and off to make the map system easier to use.

I like it and don't want others to be able to turn it off.
Is this a common theme among console folks ? They don't like options , even for others ?
