Champion Points and build specialization oversight

If there are only 3600 available slots to fill points with in this system, why are we allowed to earn 3600? This kills all risk/reward and build specialization. Should not one of the following happen?

1) Increase total available slots back to 7200? and keep maximum earned at 3600

2) Keep the current max slots and cut maximum earned CPs to 1200 or 2400

Otherwise, this is just another grind (which we already figured) and offers nothing for build specialization..... something just doesn't add up here.

Thoughts?

They are already considering putting caps on the CP's with each DLC. I don't think they have given us any details as to what or how that will be implemented.

Personally, I would like to have as many points as possible in the pool as I have this dream that a Hybrid build would be viable again. I don't know if it will be possible with the CS as it is now though, but I think I can get close. Now, this does not mean I would need all 3600, but I would a bunch.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I like the idea of capping CPs with each DLC . This will give me time to satisfy my "altitis"...

I would love to see increasing caps with each DLC ... and to have everyone be given a CP boost up to the max cap of the previous DLC once each new DLC cap is raised.

Will minimise the CP gap, but give the CP grinders a reason to still grind.
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

I completely agree @Rayste. At the end... everyone will just be the same. You can currently spend a total of 100 CPs in each star. I say up that to 250 in each star (9000 slots total) but keep the CP cap at 3600.

Think would also give ZOS the option to add 200 CPs every now and again. Let's say they add 200 each DLC, it would take almost 7 more years to reach 9000 cap. By then they could have increased the total available slots in each star to 500.

Of course... if players are given handfuls of CPs really quickly (to catch up to players with bunches and bunches of CPs) it would be kind of tedious to have to distribute all those points.

LOL @ the first world MMO problem. "I have so many of these points to spend.!"
