    Everyone I know that has a Xbox 1 mic sold by Microsoft break in 2-3 weeks. Chat on console is a must. It's an mmo for goodness sake

    They sure did, they said they didn't add text chat because "couch play" meaning they didn't like having a keyboard on their lap.

    Yup, I enjoy walking into to town and hearing people BS, makes the town feel alive. And if it gets annoying, I can just exit area chat, it's simple and easy. And in PvP voice chat is essential while in battle, don't want the group communicating in 2 different ways. Battles get hectic enough without having to look in the corner constantly to read what other people are seeing.

    As a stay at home dad its nice to have a text chat option available. My son is 8 months old, and has a pretty early bed time not including naps. So when he's asleep I'm not able to talk with a headset. So adding the option to let users talk via text chat in the game would benefit me tons!

    Not to mention that I've run across many deaf gamers throughout my years of gaming. So adding text chat to a game that is very talk based seems like a very nice thing to accommodate players.

    I for one will be getting one of these text pads. I hope that we get a text chat feature implemented in a add-on in the future for console users.

    I was surprised by that statement. I don't play from my couch and never expected this game to be treated like Call of Duty: Tamriel Edition. I expected text chat for an MMORPG.

But I'm sure those text messengers will be excluded from groups rather quickly, if u don't have a mic now you get excluded. Don't see that changing. But you guys will have eachother, stay strong, stay united

    Heck Never Winter has chat system and it works perfectly fine!

    I find it hard to believe that Cryptic studios can program a working chat system and the company developing one of the biggest names to ever grace RPG fans cannot program one!

    I mean why? Just..... WHY

    But most people have mics turned off due to the god awful backround noise going on. So its already a split community. Its just split between people talking or not.

    You Know that this game have pve and that Will help a lot for finding a group or trading ? People need to stop thinking is all about themself .....
