Items not stacking in inventory

I have glyphs, multiples of the exact same glyphs (with the exact same effects) that just won't stack. It's really annoying, they take up a lot of space, valuable space. Just wondering if anyone else is noticing this. Also, when someone trades you items that you already have, they don't add to the inventory you have, it starts a whole new pile. You have to put everything in your bank and take it out for it to all be in one pile. Gets kind of annoying and tedious. Hopefully we see this get resolved.

Same issue with using guild bank. Every time I deposit, it's an individual stack. Taking out from the guild bank comes in specific stack and no way to combine stacks together.

Yeah, I think it's related to a fix early on in the game where people were able to use the guild bank to dupe items. So you have to withdraw two stackable items to make them stack in a guild bank now (there are a couple mods for this out there to make it automated for you).-- @xaraan --

I know the reasoning for the Guild Bank stacking itself, but is there a way to implement inventory stacking. As it is now, when you withdraw items from the guild bank into your inventory there is no way to stack them other than placing them into your own personal bank. Could we maybe get a function like the Roomba addon served? Press a button and it will stack all possible items in your inventory. We don't need it to automatically withdraw from the guild bank into your inventory and stack and replace into guild bank. We just need an easier way to stack inside your inventory. As it is now, you can't "click and drag" items onto each other. I know this isn't an immediate fix, but maybe in the near future could this be implemented?0 -
MrSuplex✭✭This seems like an extremely simple thing to add. Just add the option to group similar items in the same sub-menu where we can split stacks. Its actually pretty strange that this is not already a feature.1

Having the OPTION to have separate stacks in the bank is all good and fine, but it would be really nice of you to add a quality of life option for stacking / cleaning up the guild bank. You can have up to 500 people dumping mats in the bank, it gets really REALLY messy. And doing a manual cleanup can literally take an hour ... an hour i'd rather spend enjoying your game.
Check out the addon called Roomba for PC, and Please, for the love of us not spending 2 hours manually stacking things, add in such a function for the console
PS, Where is the manual stacking option? cause I'd like to restock the soulgems in my inventory, and cannot for the life of me seem to do it.

Take a look at a random guild bank in a large guild, at all its unstacked items and tell me you'd like to play a game where you have to manually restack them every week or more frequently. It's horrible. PC players use Roomba, but console players can't; would it really be impossible to implement a similar function natively?0 -

On the Xbox One this will work...
Withdraw items that SHOULD stack.
Deposit into personal bank to stack them.
Withdraw from personal bank.
Deposit into guild bank.
Sure it's tedious at first but in my small guild I've talked to the 4 other official guild craters and asked them to do this for the items they use in their chosen professions on a regular basis. Now there is 5 people working to keep the guild bank clean and saves a massive amount of space and time. Hope this info is useful.Edited by o_Skellington_o on July 30, 2015 6:01PM0 -
WINK419✭FYI, if you sell all the stacks to a merchant and then buy them back then they will stack. I have to do this whenever I pull items from our guild bank to clear up the stacking.1
