Arcane well, Champion point passive

Gives you a 20% chance when you kill an enemy of opening an Arcane Well, which restores x Magicka to you and any allies within 2.5 meters of the enemy.

I just got this passive today, and couldnt wait to try it out. It never procced in goldpledge, so I tried it in spellscar. I even single target like 60-80 enemies without having any visual effects on me, in case this arcane well was a bit hard to see. I still never saw it.

How does it look like, and does it work at all? I tried to google it and youtube and stuff, could not find any pictures.

I always wondered about this passive. 2.5 meters is a tight radius and most of us move to the next mob after killing one.

Yeah, it doesnt sound very good. I try to test how it works now, but I have never seen it, even when the chance is 20%. Wondering if its a bug. ?.

I have tried it out on many mobs. Never see it proc. I'm also not sure i ever receive the magicka dose, either. Could be completely non-working. Can anyone document it working (whether as a gain in Magicka or as a visual on-screen)?

So far, nothing.

Were you in close range with the ennemy while you killed him?

it doesn't actually look like a "well"...all you see is a purple/blue appearance at the dead body and a magicka restore happens...you do not need to interact with it (e.g. press 'X')

it procs quite a lot for me...but is fairly useless when you kill mobs at range (Force Pulse, Swallow Soul, Crystal Frags, Dark Flare, etc)

As @stevepdodson_ESO888 stated, it has this purple/bluish mist that 'very briefly' surrounds the fallen enemy and you also hear a sound when it occurs. On my Magicka builds I get this proccing all the time, sometimes annoyingly often. The only time I find it remotely beneficial is with my Magicka Nightblade, as that build tends to be the only one where I'm within melee range to receive the benefit... or when I'm using Impulse.
