Veteran Dungeon Item Scaling

How does item scaling work for vet dungeons? I thought it would be the same as normal dungeons, that if you were within 4 lvls of the leader you'd get scaled loot. However, I ran vet fungal grotto as a vet 4 with a vet 1 as the leader, but the loot was still only vet 1. Anyone know how item scaling works in vet dungeons?

✭✭✭✭✭The trash and sub bosses drop loot at the leaders level, i'm pretty sure the end boss gear such as monster helms drop at your level.
I haven't ran a vet dungeon not on 14 though.PS4 EU DC
