So I started playing ESO again and finally reached Veteran Rank. I've actually been doing a lot of quests lately and it looks like my XP Bar is only at like 30%... Why does it take so long and what are you supposed to do to even level up? I mean I see guys on Xbox who are V14 and I'm just blown away by the fact that they can do that in a month. Can someone tell me how much XP I need to level up to the next VR, and what I should do?

    If questing you pretty much need to completely finish everything in each zone.

    Grinding xp is probably 4 or 5 times faster. I generally quest abit then grind abit.

    It takes 1 million xp to get from 1 vr rank to the next. Vet 1 to vet 14 takes 13 million exp. The vet 14's you see now are either beta testers or people who spent 10 hours a day killing mobs over and over again a.k.a grinding. You can level up by questing but it's going to take you awhile. If you don't care about experiencing the vet zones look up grinding guides,

    Battle leveling for pve content defeats the idea of progression. Remove CP

    The people you see on XBox who are V14 could well be people who transferred their characters from PC. Yes, that was a thing.

    VRs are being replaced by CP system but its not yet completed. I dont think CP is much better than VR, but you get more level up and get the feeling your character is becoming stronger. I think CP system needs tweaking, it needs more level ups, one per day from Enlightment is so boring number, how about 3, then 10 or so if you play all day, current 1 from Enlightment and 3-4 if you play all day. Yeah, dont we love big numbers.
