Sending mail?

I can't send mail to a friend. It says "Error: Therr is no player with that name." I have inputted their gamertag correctly. Is the mail system down or is there something else to do?

I also am having an issue. Can't send mail to either of my kids, says name not found. I'm on NA server.

I have sent mail and the item I sent getting lost in the process. What is use having mail if there is a chance of items getting lost?

Are you all mailing it to the specific character name or the gamertag?

I have tried both. Gamertag does not work. Specific character name does not work. This is just on NA servers. On EU I can send to another EU player and its gamertag not character specific. Logging into NA server I am unable to send messages to other NA server players

Same, I can send mail, but when someone tries to send me things, I says I don't exist, even when they click on my name in our guild ranks. Very inconvenient. Any tips on how to solve?

I am on the Xbox EU servers and I'm getting 'Error: There is no player with that name' and also 'Error: You cannot communicate with that player'. So I can't send mail at all and I've been told that people get the player doesn't exist error when trying to mail to me.

Pretty frustrating really as without mail and with the absence of text chat I am finding it impossible to find a guild.

Also in another similar thread about the email issue, an admin suggested that the issue might be related to users with spaces in their gamertags. I can report that the presence of space(s) within a gamertag is not an apparent sole cause to this issue. Out of seven users within our guild, I can send email to all but three of them. Out of these three, two have spaces within their gamertag while the other does not. Being in the same group does not help. Being online or off doesn't help.

Hopefully this info is useful to the devs ...

Makes no difference. The same error message still appears. Even if the player is a guild member & you click on their name and select "send mail" it still says that player does not exist.

Very true. I have experienced the same issue.

It appears to be selective.

I can send mail to some with a space in their names & others not. Also players without the space, it can go either way, more often than not it wont send.

Man, they made so many fixes in the patch and left this one unfixed. Disappointing.

Can we get an update on the status for the fix for this, since it was not in the patch?

Me too. Spaces in names or gamertags does not seem to have any bearing on this.

Kidding aside, My wife and I also have this issue and the above does not resolve it.
