In-game Voice doesn't even have an individual mute option?

ZOS we NEED a chat box on consoles why are you ignoring this? I already have several friends who are mmo and tes fans who have given up on the game period... for good! And no chat box is the reason why and I don't blame them there not prepared to wait months for something we might not even get.

Guilds just seem like randoms for trading I personally cannot communicate with my guild properly and keep us together and have events at all because just like area chat most people have there VC off because of just 1 or 2 selfish people who ain't using there mic but feel everyone else should hear there very loud and static noice
its causing my guild to become another pointless random trade guild with no real communication or gatherings etc bit of RP even and its kinda causing the guild to die in my eyes atleast nearly 300 members and we've never said a word together or done any content together, if you ain't got a close knit of real friends of atleast 4 to play through everything with in this game it can get very depressing sometimes

Chat boxes are soooooo much more better and effective in games like this everyone gets a word in we can scroll back theres no immersion breaking unnecessary noise all the time we are al equal with a chat box (which is important i think no one wants to be judged just coz of the way they sound n trust people always do) and more importantly we can actually get content done so much more effectively.
VC is good for SOME situations dungeons etc but why oh why would you not add a chat box also its just so confusing to 99% of the opinions I have heard and I think ZOS are gonna struggle in time rather than celebrate if this aint sorted asap imo

I'm a serious TES ans ESO fan and will love it till the day I die but this is just starting to wear me out with the game too and I played on pc from launch till console launch so I can feel, see and hear the damage its doing it just doesn't make sense to not have one. <

It sounds like mics really suck on consoles.

On PC, it is a minority who don't properly use push to talk in guilds with teamspeak. That is a bonus of so many keys and buttons to choose from.

Console voice seems impossible to implement well without any easy to press controller buttons to spare.

Wait till they give it to you...... If your subscribed.
It will be like swtor giving certain things like extra bars and the ability to sprint to subscribers and not to non subscribers.
I totally see them doing a move like that now.

I suggested way back during beta that they replace quest cycle with push to talk on the controler mapping for both xbox one & PS4.

I've occasionally wondered why ANYONE thinks it amuses others to talk in a Kermit voice in-game?

*stares at his chatbox on pc* so gooooooooooooooood! *logs onto teamspeak* best of both worlds! Custom chat box to filter out the children in the game and teamspeak for good voice communication while maintaining text chat....yup. It is a good life.

My PS4 wireless headset has mute, good sound and a quality mic.
It even has a voice/game sound slider to mix between the 2.

My headset comes with a mute and has good sound quality, too.

Some people tend to broadcast everything in the room and others have no idea what the mic is and how it is used. This tends to be more in the open areas where trading, guild recruiting, and LFG happens. Guild chat is usually not a problem, and if it is, someone will 'educate' the person.

There are some people who I think should have a mute button that defaults to MUTED and requires an IQ of 150 or higher to unmute... but they are the exception in my travels.

The post refers to individual muting of players not your actual microphone.

Yup you think they could have added that feature in game, but they where lazy and let it up to you using the xbox gamer card to mute someone which pulls you away from the game and takes time. Sometimes people just have an open mic and you want to mute them tell it gets fixed, but usually I just leave them muted because I don't want to have to deal with opening several menus to unmute them

The only problem I see with the in-game voice chat is the fact that it occasionally glitches out. If you want to mute someone, just go to their profile and mute them.

I think the text chat on consoles would be more of a hassle than people think due to the fact that they don't have a full keyboard in front of them to type quickly. I could see someone trying to type a message while doing a dungeon and complaining when they die halfway through the message.
