@templesus, I think @templesus has the right idea here.

If you want the grind to yourself, go to an instanced grind.

They have every bit as much right to be there as you do, unless you wish a thread that looks like this:

Im (higher level/played longer/more priveleged/generally more (self)important than you) on the (wherever I live) so only time i can go and there be nobody is around (the time that's convenient for me) No way am i doing 10 hours of quests for cads gold for 3 levels. Nothing makes me angrier then walking in and seeing a bunch of vet 11s taking the kills.

    It's not just your game.

    Have a nice day.

As you pointed out it's not your only spot. It's the only spot you want to go to. If you want to play a single player game I suggest you check out Skyrim.

What gives any grinder the right to say that you are more entitled to a particular spot? Does the money you pay to sub/ the money you used to pay for the game worth more than anyone else's? Is your computer lined with gold? Are you the almighty force of the universe? The time it takes to go from v1 to v14 takes forever, so if anything by your logic the lowbies you look down on have more right to be there than you do. Just saying. Everyone has the right to go kill stuff wherever they please.

Just saying, that in real life, also everybody has the right to do as they please. But there are rules for example, social rules, or real life etiquette that tells you what to do in different cases.

In MMO common courtesy is welcomed just like it is in real life.

Ooh and common courtesy in real life means you make room for other people too. It's called sharing, you know that thing that preschoolers mastered.

Yup, its also common courtesy that when you are trying to catch a cab and you see one that is already taken, you dont rush to it, bang on window, open door and jump into someones lap just because "i can still fit in here" ignoring the fact that you are ruining comfort, quality and efficiency of ride.

OP complain is silly. First come first serve.

What is annoying, are people who barge in to a cave where you are already in group of 2 people and they just pretend you are not there.

Upon making sure they are not there just for skyshard and boss kills, you ask them kindly to leave and explain why by being there and tagging all your kills (because waiting till you pull group of mobs and then just poking one aoe on them is tagging) are just wasting your and your friend time AND their own time. Of course after that they either ignore you and dont reply at all or laugh into your face.

People have 0 respect to those who were somewhere first and 0 respect to grindspot etiquette.

No. Play borderlands if you and your buddy expect to have a dungeon to yourselves.

The game is public, not instanced.

We all learned to share in kindergarten.

    Everybody needs xp.

Do you ever complain that your PvP team is on the underpowered noobish side?

Letting other players on your faction level up raises the whole teams power rating, and thus helps you in the big picture.

Plus those level tens sound pretty ballzy to be holding their own.

Just because someone else is in "your" cave doesn't mean they jumped in your cab. It's a cave, with other enemies, common courtesy would be to kill other mobs in the cave. They respawn pretty quick. You can share.

Except for the fact that when you take a cab you actually rent it with the fare you pay. That's totally different. You don't rent any particular spot in the game and being there first doesn't give you any particular right, nor by law nor by courtesy nor by anything really.

Am I glad the Devs announced today on their special Twitch show that they are putting in seasonal caps on CP. The amount of grinding people feel they currently need to do is not healthy for the game.
Am a whimsical Generation Jones gamer. Online RPGs hooked me since '94 and no sign of stopping soon...

Well I was trying to kill a mud crab and someone killed it before I can. Is this basically what the OP is talking about?

This is my first experience with MMO. I am not sure what people are talking about. What is this "tagging" people are talking about? I thought this was an MMO. I thought multiple people are suppose to kill an enemy together. Why get upset when someone else is killing something before you? What am I not understanding?

If someone is this upset, isn't that is why we have Skyrim and Witcher 3?
Not my quote but I love this saying

"I would pay It for support. But since they choosed we are just numbers and not customers, i dont mind if game and zos goes to oblivion"

If I come across grinders I try to ignore them and do my own thing as much as I can, BUT if they whisper me to tell me to leave, (depending on tone and courtesy too), I will eventually do my best to tag the mobs, single target them, taunt them apart and disrupt their grinding cycle. After all, they are disrupting my questing, but feel too entitled to even be aware of it.

If you're a sorc, stuff like rune prison or encase can make their life a lot more annoying. Also stuff like the hidden blade morph that applies an AoE. The end result is, you can pretty easily start fragmenting their pull.

    Why the hate for grinders?

To me its like lifting weights. Sure you can get ripped building a concrete building and accomplishing something, but why hate on someone pushing that bar up and down. They are doing repetitive simple tasks to gain strength with no other reward, why take this away from a gamer?

Personally every single RPG ive played, I went to an early spawn point in the game and grinded a few levels above the curve (this established a slightly higher level than the expected curve for the gam usually making it a cake walk, against NPCs I like feeling like Sauron from the beginning of Lord of the Rings (you know he swings that mace and takes out like 5 people per)

Just get a friend from opposing faction to kill the scrubs (or pay someone to do that), or level an alt of opposing faction.

In my eyes grinding is not like weightlifting but rather doping. It has two consequences : it forces antidoping measures (XP nerfs) onto everyone AND it forces pretty much everyone to do the same in order to "keep up".

I understand however your vision of "weightlifting" but in this case they shouldn't do it right in the middle of the stadium and disrupt people actually running the race, and not claim any priority over them.

That said, ZOS should make a decision : either allow grinding and provide some instanced spots to do it, or really discourage it altogether (not reducing XP but reducing respawn rates in those oh so famous locations).
