Race Overhaul Suggestion.

The idea was to do away with maximum health, magicka or stamina increases, and allow each race to shine. Note that mitigation and resistance aren't the same things.

Breton:
* +18% spell resistance
* 5% spell cost reduction
* 15% magicka recovery

Altmer:
* +10% spell damage
* 10% Destruction cost reduction
* 15% magicka recovery

Argonian:
* Swim Speed and 50% poison/disease mitigation
* 10% Restoration cost reduction
* 9% magicka, health & stamina recovery

Redguard:
* +10% weapon damage
* gain 35% stamina when it drops below 20% once per minute
* 21% stamina recovery

Nord:
* +15% armor
* +15% melee heavy attack damage and 3% melee damage
* 20% health recovery & 9% stamina recovery

Orc:
* +15% armor
* -9% block cost and 6% block mitigation
* 20% health recovery & 9% stamina recovery

Dark Elf:
* +5% spell & weapon damage
* +3% fire damage and 10% fire mitigation
* 9% magicka, health & stamina recovery

Khajiit:
* +10% weapon damage
* +10% crit chance and 5% crit damage
* +30% faster sneaking & faster stealthing

Bosmer:
* -10% Bow cost reduction
* 21% stamina recovery
* +30% faster sneaking & faster stealthing

Imperial:
* 5% damage mitigation
* -9% block cost and 6% block mitigation
* 12% increased light and heavy attack damage

    Some really interesting ideas there, as a Dunmer I wouldn't be upset by this change.

    I do think however that we're never really going to see a balance which makes everyone happy on this. Simply because the power gamers will go for the best race/class they can and others will feel locked into a race/class combination no matter what.

    This is sadly the way of MMO gaming these days and people want everything fair and balanced meaning we can't have any differenced at all.

    Lore > balance IMO.

    It's more important for racials to reflect the advantages of the race than it is to balance the the races.

    Altmer make better make better mages than Orcs and have more magica.
    Redguards make better warriors than Argonians and have more health.
    Dunmer make better thieves than Bretons and have more stamina.

    Not that these races CAN'T be effective in those other rolls, they just shouldn't be AS effective.
    What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

    why take a skill from nord and give it to imp?
    damage mitigation

    i better have my 6* damage mitigation for my nord then more armor because dont take much to hit the max but finding ways to get pure damage mitigation is hard.
