Just got instant killed by ice comet

6,000 damage was from the ice comet. The other 14,000 was from fall damage. I was on flat land -_-

Has anyone else encountered this glitch? It's pretty irritating.

    I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

    RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

    Positive. It was instantaneous, and it said on the death cap fall damage. Also under tips it said "watch your step". I was standing in the grass -_-

    The ol' fall damage glitch is back. It's been back over several hot fixes now. Can be triggered by any skill that sends a player up in the air.

    WTB Permanent bug fixes.

    yeah, its not as if using a comet on NPC mobs it makes them fly high and die from fall damage, they just get knocked over after maybe a 1 metre bounce up

    You see what happens is the comet is so cold that you shrink to the size of an ant and fall what would be hundreds of feet. This kills you. But the animation is too hard for ZOS to code up so you don't get to see it happen.

    I'm sure ZOS will offer up an explanation equally as bizarre and improbable. :(

    I too have felt the comet shame.

    The fall damage is usually 60k+ if the lag is awesome enough.

    THIS ^ Is why I'm changing my opinion on the Tel Var player-loot system.

    I was originally all for it...but I have no faith whatsoever in Zos' ability to fix exploits, ban cheaters, or fix bugs.

    And with the additional incentive of player-looting....whatever the Flavor-of-the-month exploit is at the time will be used X1000 more frequently.

    Not really. The meteor sending me into orbit followed by 60k+ fall damage is a pretty common occurrence for me since the awesome new ultimate system that brought so much diversity since 1.6.

    I saved a clip when I was on console and got 4 meteors/morphs of it dropped on me. I was laughing so hard I started to tear up.

    Maybe you fell into the deep crater created by the comet.
