Is there a way in this game to root out players who have ben inactive for more than 30 days? Like for example a guildmaster who never gets on, if he goes dark for 30+ days can we do anything abut it?

As long as it's their guild you pretty much can't do anything about it.

It's a lot more complicated than that. The guild is massive and it's something me and my freinds built together, but the oe who created it refuses to pass it on despite never playing. It's a maxed trading guild.

You can try submitting a petition to have ownership changed. I don't know what the requirements are for that to happen but if my memory serves me I think it's been done before. Not sure how long they have to be inactive or what other circumstances they might require to do such a thing but worth a shot.

I thought you were gonna say something about getting kicked for being inactive. I hate that.

There have been instances of guild ownership being transferred. If you are and officer or maybe a friend of the inactive owner put in a request ticket to have the lead transferred to you to save the guild. Assuming you have enough members or reputation in it to make it worth the time.

I think someone else's suggestion was best...you or someone should instead of creating a guild....locate a guild and let other active players know where you're headed to grow a guild.

I woukdnt just go start ur own unless it's a thriving guild w/o a guild master

WoW has the ability to ticket a long term absent GM and have the guild handed over to another ... I also noted that in a small guild I logged into a character having not played for 3 years and found myself insta-promoted to GM. Almost everyone else had left the guild but it was still dormant in the system even after 3 years of inactivity. WoW also has toon guild membership not locked into account guild membership.

but I don't suppose ZO would implement something as progressive as that.
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

ZOS will check in to the GM's account to see how long they have been inactive for. If they determine enough time has passed they will log into that users account and will change the GM to the most active Officer in the game. That is what they did with one guild I was in, except that officer could not be trusted and immediately started emptying the bank.

ZOS did not even attempt to contact the original GM to find out what was going on or if he was in hospital or anything, they just changed it. I managed to track down the original GM and he and the actual founding GM were super peeved that ZOS Customer Service made the change without trying to contact them first so they could decide who would take over.

Far too many characters to list any more.
