Yes, but you can bite whomever you want, once per 7 days, for whatever reason. They're not even under any obligation to actually follow up and become a vampire or werewolf, they can just let the timer run out if they want.
If 40k is a reasonable price for a bite in your mind, then you're free to charge that to someone else... unless you thought you were pulling one over on someone...

Funny thing... I actually do sell bites.
I also give them away. It kinda depends on context. That said, before 1.5, I also used to council lowbies out of getting bitten. So... eh, I'm weird.

Funny thing is its the buyer who actually sets the price by not paying, which is why the prices always come down for everything in the game. Supply and demand always works itself out.
i mean anyone i have played with knows how and where to get free bites. but if your trying to make a cheap deal you better be prepared to have something happen to your bum. no one appreciates a jerk

Its fairly obvious you assume anyone who defends the selling of bites must in fact be bite sellers.Sorry but your wrong on so many things. So do you give all your items for free to anyone who asks? Did you give all your gold to some one who needs it more then you? Didn't think so, i guess that makes you a griefer since you take pleasure in disrupting others gameplay. Good luck with that.

But i actually do, i sold one daedric motif around three weeks after launch. After that i really have had no care. If someone comes to me needed gear or for me take make something, they give me that mats they have and ill scrounge up the rest to make it. Playing a game with no sense of greed is actually pretty relieving. Maybe you should try it. I hoard and buy certain things, but other than that, nah not a hint of greed. I dont charge someone stupid amounts for a bite simply because they dont know better. Whats our word for..."being a knob who takes advantage of noobs"? Shall we make one?
Nah its not weird, your just doing what most people do. Sometimes we all feel generous and pay it forward and other times were striving to afford that next bank slot. Its just a game after all.starkerealm wrote: »MasterFUNG_ESO wrote: »its so easy to tell who likes to charge for bites simply reading your replies ;') ps4/pc na ep, lemme know when you would like me to come poo on your dreams on digital currency

Funny thing, I actually give away a lot of stuff I'm not using, in game. Bound items throw a wrench in that a bit. But consumables... yeah.
Also, I sell bites. It's kinda weird, isn't it?

The thing i think your not realizing is regardless of price down the road or even at time of sale someone will consider it too high. That daedric motif you sold is a good example. Those are very expensive still, even now on PC so even if you think you gave someone a good deal at the time i guarantee someone else would say you ripped them off. Your assuming anyone who sells a bite is ripping off noobs but yet as the other poster pointed out, he also gave them gear and food and walked them through the quest to make sure they succeeded. Why is that such a bad thing if both parties get what they wanted? Who are you to decide what is good for them? No one ever will be forced to pay for a bite. Let them decide if its worth it or not, and that's exactly how the whole market works. No buyers=No sales which is why prices come down.
Why do you feel anyone who sells things is operating on greed? There are many very expensive things built into the game,Bank space/Horses etc etc. so how are people expected to pay for those things without ingame money? Should they just do quests and wait a crazy long time or should they engage in the marketplace? If anyone lists items for too much they dont sell, so they lower the price. This is all economics 101 so please keep social justice out of it.

Yes, i understand that all...in the real world...where miney buys food and life. But pixel money? LOL if i can rip a guy off who is ripping off a nub the i will do so. The kid was suspicious but was about to pay anyways.
Heres a fair conclusion, you guys keep charging silly prices that are above average (anyone can check a price on the webs) and I WILL keep playing how i like. That would be saving noobies rom getting ripped off and apparently making alot of people happy. Moral compass wins on a video game bub. I cant practice it fully irl so [snip] i will in any rpg i play. Like i said, pc/ps4 na ep, lemme know when your about to rip some little noobie off and ill come poo on you too, and get on the mic and let everyone know they can find free bites on the forums. You play with your money focus, ill play with my moral focus, yeah?

some guy was getting this kid to pay 20k gold for a vamp bite so i went and bit him before he could start the trade.
long story short i made seller rage, and free bite victim laugh his ass off after i got on the mic and shut down seller
